Staccato has introduced the Staccato HD, a new line of 2011 pistols designed with input from elite law enforcement and government users. This next-generation pistol family focuses on improved technology, modularity, and adaptability for modern shooters. And yes, the Staccato HD series takes Glock-pattern magazines!

Staccato @ TFB:

The controls are fully ambidextrous, including dual-sided safety and slide release levers, as well as a reversible magazine release. For added control, forward thumb indexing points are machined into both sides of the frame.

The slide design features aggressive forward serrations that extend over the top, providing better grip for manipulations even while wearing gloves or in adverse conditions. Internally, the HD series incorporates a buffered flat-wire recoil system and an active firing pin block for added reliability. The updated HOST optic system allows direct-to-slide red dot mounting without needing plates or adapters. A forward-mounted rear sight eliminates the need for backup iron sight-equipped plates.

Below: The first model in the lineup, the Staccato P4, pairs a 4-inch barrel and slide with a full-size grip. It comes standard with an 18-round magazine but is compatible with any full-size Glock-pattern magazine. The model starts at $2,499.

Below: For shooters looking for a longer configuration, the upcoming Staccato P4.5 will feature a 4.5-inch DLC barrel with a sight block to reduce felt recoil while maintaining fast cycling speeds. The P4.5 model starts at $2,699.

In short, let’s run through the highlights:

  • Iconic 2011 grip angle
  • Unmatched ergonomics
  • Yes, it accepts Glock 17 patterned magazines
  • Patent pending HOST optic mounting system
  • Modern drop-safe design
  • Ambi Slide Catch & Mag Release.
  • Priced from $2,499

The HD is offered with two 18 round heat treated carbon steel Mec-Gar Glock® pattern magazines featuring an anti-friction black coating. Compatible with Glock® 17 style magazines.
