Raven Concealment’s venerable Vanguard holster has a new update. The Executive Vanguard, or EVG, blends the pared-down design of the original Vanguard with the newer shape of the Executive Select holster. Let’s take a look at this new iteration.

Raven Concealments @ TFB:

The Vanguard was one of the first truly minimal holsters. It was a simple snap-on cover that could tie off to carry gear like fanny packs. The Vanguard kept the trigger from being pulled inadvertently with almost no added bulk. The Vanguard 2 and Vanguard 3 added additional carry methods and mounting hardware.

This iteration of the Vanguard, the EVG, incorporates a wedge that somewhat mimics the shape of the Executive Select holster. Raven Concealment states that this new shape pulls the gun into the body without needing a claw. Personally, this new design has my attention. A Raven Vanguard 2 and an Executive Select account for probably 90% of my carry rotation these days, so combining the two could be very interesting indeed!

The EVG comes in left- and right-handed versions, and with fitments for the Sig Sauer P365 XMacro, standard-size Glocks, and slimline Glocks.

From the manufacturer:

“The Executive VanGuard (EVG) is the latest evolution of the legendary VanGuard line, blending the minimalist ethos of the original with the cutting-edge design principles of the Executive Select Series (ESS). Built using premium additive manufacturing technology, the EVG is designed to deliver unmatched comfort, concealment, and performance for AIWB carry.
Innovative Wedge Design:
The EVG’s built-in wedge eliminates the need for a claw by performing two critical functions: it stabilizes the firearm’s vertical orientation and actively tucks the pistol grip closer to the body. This dual-purpose design achieves exceptional concealment and comfort without adding external hardware.
Minimalist Form Factor:
Covering only the trigger guard, the EVG offers the sleek, low-profile design that made the original VanGuard line a staple for concealed carriers.
Enhanced Comfort and Concealment:
The anatomically-focused design contours to the body, preventing the back of the slide from tipping outward while providing all-day comfort, even during extended wear.”
