The Dillon Aero M134D Minigun is one machine that spits out more material than our Photo Of The Day. In the Swedish Navy, it’s called the KSP 18B, and here you can see it in action in preparation for the Swedish Amphibious Battalion 2030.

This is like a Main Battle Tank, except on the sea.

According to the caption:

“The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) recently conducted training on the new KSP 18B rapid-fire machine gun for future instructors from amphibious regiments. This gatling-type weapon, capable of firing 3,000 rounds per minute, was tested on a Stridsbåt 90 vessel. The training focused on various combat scenarios, including nighttime exercises. The program ensures readiness before full delivery in 2025, under a procurement contract extending potentially to 2026. The exercise also helped identify areas for improvement in manuals and procedures.”

The machine gun, which is manufactured by Dillon Aero Inc., is electrically powered and can fire about 3,000 rounds per minute.

The Minigun uses 7.62x51mm NATO ammunition.

KSP is short for Kulspruta, or “bullet sprayer”.
