Last year, I spent a considerable amount of time using and reviewing the MDT CKYE bipod that seems to be a “must-have” for anyone with some kind of self-preservation in precision shooting. You can read about my conclusions here. MDT has now introduced the CKYE-POD GEN3 series, which is the latest evolution of its precision rifle bipod line. The new lineup includes three models: the Single-Pull, Double-Pull, and Triple-Pull. Each is said to be designed to balance stability, adjustability, and speed across both field and competition use.

MDT Sporting Goods’ Bipods @ TFB:

All CKYE-POD GEN3 models feature large adjustment knobs for fast deployment, ARCA and Picatinny compatibility, and a new leg-locking system that prevents accidental movement during use. The design also supports A.R.M.S. #17 heads, allowing for quick attachment, fore-and-aft adjustment, and removal.

“The CKYE-POD GEN3 represents the next evolution in bipod design,” said MDT President Maarten Van Ruitenburg. “Whether you’re competing in NRL Hunter matches, PRS stages, or navigating challenging terrain in the field, these bipods provide speed, adjustability, and rock-solid stability that shooters can rely on.”

The Single-Pull model is compact and lightweight for fast positional changes; the Double-Pull offers greater height range for shooters needing more flexibility; and the Triple-Pull provides over two feet of adjustment, giving field shooters tripod-like elevation for rough terrain.

Me doing my best to scratch the bonnet of a car with the spikes of the MDT bipod.

The MSRP of the MDT CKYE-POD GEN3 Single Pull version is $599.99, the Double-Pull costs $799.99 and the price of the Triple Pull version is $999.99.

The CKYE-POD GEN3 series is available now through MDT dealers and mdttac.com
