Lipsey’s has added yet another exclusive firearm to its extensive list of offerings. The latest addition is a Ruger Blackhawk Bisley Flattop in .41 Magnum. There is more than meets the eye with this revolver, so keep reading for the full breakdown.

Lipsey’s @ TFB:

This Bisley Flattop is built on the midsize frame, traditionally used for .357 Magnum guns. This keeps the overall size and weight of this revolver down while still leaving room for a full six-round cylinder. There are two finish options, one in blued and one in stainless steel. Both finish options sport 5.5-inch barrels for a nice balance of velocity and portability. As would be expected, the famous transfer bar safety mechanism pioneered by Ruger is found on these Blackhawks. This is a flat top model so it does not have provisions for optics mounting, but the iron sights are fully adjustable.

Lipsey’s has a video overview of these new guns, so go watch that if you want to learn more. The .41 Magnum joins other Lipsey’s exclusive Ruger wheel guns like the .44 Special Blackhawk and Ultimate Carry J-frames in .38 Special and .32 H&R Magnum. If this model has caught your eye, move fast to pick one up. Lipsey’s exclusives tend to sell fast!

A Bisley grip frame on the lighter, narrower flat top frame is really big news. If they do it in .45 Colt (dropping weight considerably due to bigger bores in the cylinder and barrel) I'll be on that right away.

The few .41Mag aficionados out there make an unholy and unending racket whenever their favored cartridge is dissed by revolver makers who don’t split the difference between the .357 and .44 and build a FOTYone. I know they’ll have a happy holiday season with this news….
