Flux Defense has released the Antimatter Scopeswitch 2.0, an updated scope-control accessory intended to let shooters change magnification while maintaining engagement with the target. The company positions the Scopeswitch 2.0 for use by armed professionals, hunters and competitive shooters who require quick, repeatable optic adjustments without losing sight picture.

Reviewed LPVOs @ TFB:

The Scopeswitch 2.0 is described as an evolution of the original Scopeswitch concept, providing a mechanical interface for altering magnification settings while keeping hands on contact points and eyes on target. Flux Defense says the product is engineered to work with common scope turrets and magnification rings, and is intended to improve speed and consistency when changing magnification in dynamic shooting scenarios.

"Every product here at Flux Defense has a pure focus: making it faster, lighter, and stronger. Most users rarely utilize the full range of zoom capabilities on their LPVOs. They set their scope to the needed power, use a red dot for close targets, and adjust magnification for longer ranges. The Scopeswitch 2.0 allows you to have a faster, positive ID on your target and greatly enhance situational awareness. It lets you smoothly and quickly zoom in and out without breaking your grip or losing your focus."

"It’s one of the strongest, lightest mounts available that does more than simply hold your optic."

Here are the key features and benefits of the Flux Defense Scopeswitch 2.0:

  • Innovative Guard System: Allows users to adjust magnification without taking their eye off the target—ideal for high-pressure scenarios, rapid target transitions, and dynamic hunting environments.
  • Precision Materials: Constructed from rugged 7075 T6 aircraft-grade aluminum and 4140 nitrided steel lugs, ensuring maximum strength with minimal weight.
  • Optimized Height: The 1.93-inch optical centerline supports upright shooting postures, compatibility with plate carriers, and passive aiming with night vision devices.
  • Low Profile, High Performance: Compatible with rifles as short as 10.5 inches, though longer barrels are recommended for optimal velocity with 5.56 rounds. The device is perfect for a wide range of tactical and sporting applications.
  • User Compatibility: Designed to work with scopes featuring low resistance zoom rings. Users are advised to test their optics for smooth operation prior to purchase; a detailed compatibility chart is available on the FAQ page.

If you’re already familiar with the previous version, here are the updates in short:

  • Competitive Pricing: Scopeswitch 2.0 price is now $349.99
  • Stronger Hardware: Flux claim to have beefed up the cable clamp bolts to handle accidental over torquing during installation.
  • Ergonomics: Scopeswitch now includes the Ergo-C-clamp slider with a topo texture, and it also ships with the deeper original slider.
  • Accessories: There’s now an optional pic rail riser giving you back valuable top "rail estate" for a clip-on thermal and NVG devices, as well as a backup throw lever.

Note that scopes with low resistance zoom rings work best with the Scopeswitch 2.0 system. If your optic has a tight or stiff zoom ring, it will be difficult to actuate using the slider.

I’m a bit skeptical about the need for this product, but the price - which includes what looks like a decent mount - is pretty attractive. I admit I’m tempted to try it on one of my competition rifles.

...trying really really hard to think of an ideal user for this outside the smallest of small rifle match niches.

Is it me or has the 1.93 height optic mount craze come and passed? All I see is people trying to off load 1.93 mounts on the used market. It’s great if you have NV or only shoot offhand, but for everything else it really sucks. Too bad they only make the 1.93 height.
