The Teneta MITLA-1 Ukrainian Anti-Drone Net Launcher
Some things are developed out of necessity, under the pressure of war. Ukrainian defense company Teneta has released a disposable net launcher designed to intercept FPV drones by entangling their propellers in flight. The device addresses a specific threat vector in positional warfare where lightweight, immediately available anti-drone countermeasures carry tactical weight.
Operation is straightforward. The user pulls the safety catch, aims, and presses the firing button. The net deploys in 0.2 seconds with a spread of 3.5 by 3.5 meters. The launcher is equipped with a 7.62 mm caliber pyrotechnic cartridge and demonstrates strong recoil, so two-handed operation is recommended. The device requires no external power or electronic components.
Reading from the data sheet, the launcher is effective at distances up to 25 meters. The MITLA demonstrates stable performance in various temperatures, both in heat and frost, and the performance remains consistent in rain and snow.
The TENETA MITLA-1 is marketed as a pocket-sized alternative to larger, heavier drone defense systems. It weighs 365 grams and measures 200mm in height and 40mm in diameter, allowing for easy storage in a pouch, backpack, or uniform pocket. The system operates manually and requires no external power or setup. The device is single-use.
The official website lists two configurations: the MITLA 2.0 at 4,000 UAH, which is around 80 USD, and a bundle package with a holster at 4,600 UAH, just above 100 bucks. A separate MOLLE holster is available as well. All orders are currently processed through TENETA's messaging channels.

Would that net catch runners, entangle low scale resisters? Low scale is hands and feet. Could you subdue Chuck Norris or Jackie Chan? Of course if some one fell down and cracked their skull the cop would still be the bad guy
FPV drones are passé now. With Russia's advancements in jet-powered drones and intermediate ballistic missiles, Ukraine has bigger worries, not to mention that two Ukraine security organizations, SBU and GUR, are having shootouts in the streets with each other.
