Burris has introduced the fifth generation of its Fullfield riflescope series, marking fifty years since the original model was launched. The first Fullfield scopes were known for providing a wider field of view and improved light transmission compared to many contemporary optics, establishing the line as a popular choice among big-game hunters in the United States.

The new Fullfield generation continues this legacy with updated construction and expanded global availability. Burris reports that an enhanced international distribution program will make the scopes more accessible to hunters worldwide.

According to Burris, the new models feature a lighter and more compact housing designed to improve handling and reduce fatigue during extended use. The scopes also include refined ergonomic details, such as enhanced knurling on the power ring and turrets for quicker adjustments.

The updated Fullfield series incorporates the company’s Knob Synergy system, allowing shooters to configure elevation knobs for specific ballistic profiles and choose between capped or exposed knob setups. The line is offered with multiple reticle options, including illuminated and non-illuminated Plex, MOA, and BDC variants, and in various magnification ranges and objective lens sizes to suit different hunting applications.

As with previous generations, the new Fullfield scopes are said to maintain wide fields of view and use fully multi-coated lenses to improve light transmission, reduce glare, and preserve color accuracy under diverse lighting conditions.

As with all product releases, I’d like to make a personal remark or reference when I can, and I do have a funny and relevant story to tell. I regularly use optics made in countries where German is the main language, but I have this teammate who uses an old Burris 1-4x. While I occasionally beat him, I have to admit that his results often put a shadow on my performance and I have to congratulate him on the win. Perhaps I should start running a Burris as well?
