ATN Launches TICO 6 Clip-On With 6th Gen Thermal Engine

ATN has announced the TICO 6, the newest entry in the company's thermal clip-on lineup and the first built on what ATN calls its 6th Generation thermal engine. Rather than asking hunters to swap out a trusted daytime riflescope for a dedicated thermal unit, the TICO 6 mounts in front of an existing optic and converts it into a thermal-capable system without requiring a re-zero or any change to eye relief, balance, or reticle familiarity.

Thermals @ TFB:

The TICO 6 is offered in three sensor configurations: 256x192 with a sensitivity rating of 20 mK or better, and 384x288 and 640x512 variants both rated at 18 mK or better, all built on a 12-micron pixel pitch. ATN's SharpIR AI-enhanced imaging processes the feed in real time, sharpening edges, boosting contrast, and working to separate targets from background clutter. Display hardware varies by model, with either a 0.32-inch OLED at 800x600 resolution or a 0.49-inch OLED at 1920x1080.

Feature-wise, the TICO 6 ships with Hot Point Tracking, multiple color palettes, onboard 64 GB storage, video and audio recording, Recoil Activated Video, and built-in Wi-Fi streaming. An optional eyepiece adapter allows the unit to be pressed into service as a handheld monocular, and mounting options include a Quick-Detach Picatinny Mount with Light Shield or an optional Scope Mounting System for direct integration with a daytime optic.

ATN CEO James Munn addressed the design philosophy in the release: "The TICO 6 is built for hunters who want real thermal capability without reinventing their entire rifle setup. With the TICO 6, you can keep the daytime scope you trust and turn it into a thermal system in seconds. That's the kind of practical innovation hunters actually appreciate in the field."

The TICO 6 is positioned for hog hunters, predator hunters, and ranchers running after-dark control work, as well as tactical surveillance and perimeter defense applications.
