FN Adds NEW Slick-side Guardian to FN 15 Rifle Series
With the current level of violence and uncertainty that seems to be neverending, more and more people are unlocking the First-Time Gunowner achievement. I see this happening personally, as friends who were previously only interested in concealed carry are asking me for advice on buying AR-15s. One of the biggest barriers to most is cost, especially if you want a quality rifle. Known for quality ARs, FN has expanded its FN 15 line to include the slick-side Guardian, a rifle sitting right at $1,000.

The FN 15 Guardian applies the FN battle-proven blueprint to a brand new MSR, making FN quality accessible to all home defenders and sport shooters. Proven to perform on any front, this new carbine has the critical upgrades for tack-driving accuracy, with a nitrided 16-inch CMV steel MIL-B-11595 barrel and 15-inch free-float aluminum handguard. The mid-length gas system reduces recoil impulse with a low-profile gas block impinging gas to the mil-spec bolt carrier.

Immediately apparent, the Guardian has opted out of some features. The forward assist has been removed and the rifle comes with no iron sights. It uses a 16″ barrel with a 15″ free-float, aluminum handguard. The muzzle is finished with a classic A2 birdcage and the grip and the single included magazine are textured. It comes with a MIL-SPEC trigger, charging handle, and selector.
