They should make one in 22lr to compete with the TX22 and the P322. Their current PPQ 22's capacity is low (12) compared with the others at 16-20 rounds. Walther could gain some market share in the tactical 22 market if they increased magazine capacity, made them optics ready and included threaded barrels from the factory. If the triggers are as good as the centerfire PPQs, they could have a winner on their hands.
.22 Magnum is over,done Kaput. For rifles .223 is cheaper and reloadable, in handguns there are many high velocity .22LR available that come close enough to magnum for me. I got shed of my last .22 magnum ten years ago. When I was a kid I Turkey hunted with a .22 Magnum and it was great but the older pragmatic me knows better.
