Emissary Development PADDLE SHIFTER Switch for SureFire X300 Weapon Lights

Emissary Development has introduced an extended switch for SureFire X300 style weapon lights called Paddle Shifter. It extends the switch upwards to the thumb of your support hand in the common modern way of gripping a semi-auto pistol, and is designed to make manipulating the light more intuitive with minimum alteration of the grip and maintaining utmost control of the weapon while activating the light.
SureFire Handgun Lights @ TFB:Emissary Development Paddle Shifter is made of nylon and is currently available in black color only. It allows for both momentary and constant light activation. There are both right and left handed versions of the Paddle Shift available. This is a drop-in part requiring no modifications to the weapon or the light to install it and comes with the tools and adhesives necessary for the installation. The Paddle Shifter weighs 0.75 grams and has the following dimensions.
The Paddle Shifter is compatible with the following models of SureFire lights: X300U-A, X300U-B, X300V, X300V-B, X400U, X400V, X400VH, XH30, X400UH, XH35, XVL2-IRC. Paddle Shifters for Streamlight TLR7A and TLR1 as well as Modlite PL350 lights are in the works and should be available soon. According to the manufacturer, the SureFire X300 Paddle Shifter will fit a wide array of pistols and on their website they have a list of compatible handguns that they have tested with a Paddle Shifter equipped light installed. The company also notes that this accessory “fits nearly all holsters” and provides a list of non-compatible holsters and holsters that must be modified to fit the Paddle Shifter.
For those of you who use the above-mentioned lights on their pistols, tell us in the comments section what do you think about this new accessory. Do you think the light manipulation improvement that it offers will make you more efficient or are you used to the stock switch and find it good enough?

Out of stock on their website for right handed shooters. the 28 buck msrp only includes 1 side. I was hoping it was both.
I got to evaluate some early prototypes of this for Streamlight TLR-VIRII. The only issue I had was that it prevents you from engaging constant on. The Surefire factory switch can be pushed up or down for constant on. Not the case with the Streamlight. You need to lift the left side up. Using the extended (tall) paddle shifter does not allow the switch to move up. Also you cannot use the tall paddle shifters on both sides of the light. Otherwise they will block each other and not allow you manipulate the light. Push one side down, the other side had to move up. Like a see-saw.
