Today’s photo of the day comes from General Dynamics-OTS who are current contenders in the US Army’s Next Generation Squad Weapon program. The photo was shared on General Dynamics Ordnance & Tactical Systems twitter page earlier this year. It features their NGSW – Automatic Rifle prototype with engineers from Williston, Vermont, talking operators over the new weapon during the filming of GD-OTS’ impressive marketing video for their NGSWs. We’ve looked at GD-OTS’ RM277 in more detail here.

Check out the video below:

General Dynamics-OTS also shared another photo of their Lightweight Medium Machine Gun or LWMMG, we’ve covered the .338 Norma Magnum chambered LWMMG in more detail here.

I can just envision that suppressor getting caught on anything and everything.

I know its non conventional but I do think asethetically its pretty cool. also the recoil impulse seems pretty flat granted its a promo video but id be curious on reports on it and accuracy. What are the odds they pick one companies cartridge and anothers rifle? That was another thing Id be curious on.
