ZeroTech Announces Variable Power Prism Scope

ZeroTech Optics has announced the first variable magnification prism scope. Other manufacturers have produced prism scopes that could switch between 1x and 4x (like the Elcan Spectre), but a true variable is new. Let’s dig into the specs.

- TFB Review: AT3 Tactical ARO-MINI 3 MOA Red Dot
- TFB Extended Review: Vortex Crossfire 2 MOA Red Dot
- Trijicon Officially Announces the New RMR HD and RCR Red Dots
- TFB Review: Meprolight MPO Pro-S vs MPO Pro-F
- New Aimpoint COA Red Dot - In Collaboration With Glock
The Thrive HD 1-4x24 Variable Prism is 6 inches long and weighs 19 ounces. It mounts on the gun with an integral QD for 1913 rails, and because it is built into the optic, there is no need to level the tube. The reticle is etched into the glass, illuminates in both red and green, and runs on a 2032-cell battery. Two buttons on the side of the scope control the reticle brightness. Capped turrets have 1/2 MOA adjustments and the parallax is fixed at 100 yards.
There’s no ETA posted for the Thrive HD 1-4x24 yet but we do know it retails for $599.
From the manufacturer:
“The Thrive HD 1-4×24 Variable Prism Scope redefines what shooters can expect from their optics. Historically, prism scopes have been relegated to fixed power designs, but the Thrive HD changes the game by combining the crystal-clear visuals and rugged reliability of prism scopes with the versatility of variable magnification. With its compact size, exceptional clarity, and wide field of view, this optic is perfect for close-quarters engagements, home defense, and mid-range shooting.
One of the standout features of the Thrive HD Variable Prism Scope is the RAP-R etched reticle. Unlike traditional red dots that rely solely on projected illumination, the RAP-R reticle remains visible even if the battery fails, ensuring reliability in critical situations. The illumination system offers both red and green options, with easy toggling between the two to suit your environment.”

Did they legitimately name their reticle the RAPER reticle? That's, uh, special.
Pretty excited for when Primary Arms releases something like this.
