The Lantac SOL - Sight On Laser For The EOTech OGL

The new and patent pending SOL (Sight On Laser) was developed to address rail space limitations when integrating backup sights with Laser Illuminators or Laser Aiming Modules (LAMs). It is purpose-built to mount directly to the EOTech OGL. The OGL is a prime candidate for the application, thanks to its robust aluminum chassis and four T10 Torx head screws that secure the lens covers. These fasteners provide a stable and reliable mounting point for a backup front sight.

Lantac @ TFB:

Sometimes a picture tells more than a thousand words, and this is likely the case here for displaying the sight and rail comparison. On a 10.5'' handguard, the SOL allows for a 16.5'' Sight Radius and 6.0'' of available rail as compared to a traditional folding sight that delivers a shorter sight radius of 15.25'' with only 3.5'' of rail left available to the operator.

The SOL is precision machined from certified 7075-T6 Aerospace alloy and Hardcoat Anodized to MIL-A-8625 Type III Hardcoat, Class 2, Black. The price is $195. For added versatility, users can install any compatible aftermarket sight post, including tritium options for low-light visibility.

By attaching directly to the Laser/Illuminator, the SOL maximizes available rail space—ideal for operators who require room for additional accessories or weapon furniture. It can be positioned as far forward as the top rail allows, even on compact carbine setups, thereby increasing the sight radius and enhancing aiming precision.

Designed for practical field use, the sight features minimal forward projection from the LAM and incorporates an angled front face to mitigate snag hazards.

According to Lantac, the SOL features a unique design that delivers a fully adjustable front sight without occupying any rail space. It utilizes a standard AR-15/M16/M4 sight post, providing precise adjustments—1.250 MOA per quarter turn and 5 MOA per full revolution. The sight post channel is set at an exact height of 2.357" over bore, matching the traditional A2-style front sight base and offering the same elevation adjustment range.

Very cool product. I'm pretty sure Railscales started this concept with their LEAF.

I'd like to see more companies put out useful products like this. I'd also like to see the FDA un-neuter LAMs for civilians or allow civilian sales.

Pretty sweet for the 5 people who have been able to purchase this laser unit.
