One of the most notorious self-defense revolvers of the past couple of decades is back in production—in limited production—and it offers a lot of firepower in a hand-cannon package. The Taurus Raging Judge has returned to the lineup, offering your choice of a standard cowboy cartridge, a heavy-duty bear-buster, or a buckshot load.

This is by no means an all-encompassing list of 1911 manufacturers. There are way too many custom manufacturers to list them all. Instead, I’ve compiled a list of the most common 1911 makers and their current offerings. Feel free to add your favorite manufacturer to the list in the comments.

The Taurus Model 58 was a compact double-stack .380 based on the PT92 platform, but it was sadly discontinued. UNTIL NOW. Hop stopped by the Taurus booth to check out the reintroduced Model 58 at NRAAM 2025.

The updated Taurus 650 and 850 will be chambered in .38 spl or .357 magnum and feature two different durable coating options, as well as replaceable front sights, and a slimmer 5-round shot cylinder for deep concealment or pocket carry.

Taurus have announced the launch of the Taurus 650, a new 2in barrel revolver with a double action only trigger and a shrouded hammer. The new revolvers are also available in a 3in configuration with all models chambered in .357 /.38 Special.

Taurus continues to expand its wheelgun lineup into upscale new models, with the latest addition being a new gun intended for competitive shooters. The aptly named Taurus 608 Competition just dropped on the market, and it is packed with features to help you win under pressure.
