The NEW Steyr AUG is Here! James Reeves accidentally gives Steyr’s next-gen AUG its official name in this video! James speaks with Brian Marshall of the Steyr Academy about the upcoming Steyr AUG A3 M2. The Steyr AUG A3 M2 has already been released in Europe, but it’s coming to the US. The main differences here involve changes to the receiver that allow for a longer optic rail and a quick-disconnect and modular handguard design. The new upper receiver that accommodates the handguard and redesigned optic rail is new, but it is 100% compatible with AUG A3 M1 stock groups/lower receivers.

At IWA 2024, James Reeves explores the Gungnir rifle, a prototype by German designer Georg Holthaus. This multi-caliber, bullpup, straight-pull rifle showcases unique features like a very short bolt with a rotating head, adaptable chassis, and ambidextrous ergonomics. Because of the short bolt, this gun is the smallest .50 Cal magazine-fed rifle physically possible. Discover its innovative design and potential in our latest video. At SHOT Show 2024, Senex Arms introduced their Modular Bullpup Light Rifle 15 (MBLR-15). Developed by engineer Brandon Makowski, the company’s unique offering in the bullpup rifle category garnered attention for its versatility and use of familiar components.

Palmetto State Armory brought a ton of prototype projects to SHOT Show this year, and @Hoplopfheil dropped by to check out the new versions of the JAKL. The three new JAKL prototypes are a bullpup conversion lower, a large frame .308 variant, and a JAKL/AK hybrid. PSA is relying on customer feedback to decide which projects to focus on, so cast your votes in the comments.

Joining the ranks among a few other notable names within the bullpup shotgun scene is the new Escort BullTac pump-action bullpup shotgun. The new shotgun is capable of running up to 3″ shells, sports a standard length 18″ barrel, and an overall length of just 27.75 inches. Other features include a fixed cylinder choke, oxidation-resistant chrome-plated steel barrel, and a completely detachable carry handle.

Springfield Armory’s Hellion made a big splash when it launched last year. This import-friendly HS Produkt VHS-2 is an excellent addition to the world of bullpup military rifles. In addition to the standard 16-inch guns, Springfield now offers 18- and 20-inch models. They kindly sent me a pre-release Hellion 20-inch model for review.

The Springfield Hellion has been rather popular. I am a little biased as I have one. Well, Springfield Armory is making some long barrel Hellion rifles now with 18″ and 20″ barrels. Here is what we know so far.

Thanks to John aka Mr. Snow Makes for showcasing the Stuff and Things Bullpup Kit (BPK). It is a drop-in kit that converts your AK into a bullpup.

Before SHOT 2023, I was tipped off by a co-worker who knew that I was a Tikka fan that a company was bringing a bullpup chassis and optimized bullpup trigger for the Tikka to SHOT.  That company is MK Machining of Hallsville, MO.  One of the few bright lights in the otherwise dingy SHOT Dungeon was MK Machining’s MK2 Bullpup Chassis, which is now available for Remington 700 short and long actions, as well as Tikka T3 actions.

Black Rain Ordnance is typically known for their custom ARs and eye-catching Cerakote jobs, but they also had one of the most innovative new products of SHOT Show this year. The Commando rifle is a new bullpup battle rifle chambered in full power battle rifle cartridges like .308 Winchester and 6.5 Creedmoor. Attention was paid to ergonomics and controls, and keeping the overall system weight down. It’s still early in production, but this is definitely one to watch.

If you like the idea of the Desert Tech Trek-22 Ruger 10/22 stock but have been waiting for them to come out with a couple of newer colors, you’re in luck. Desert Tech has just announced the addition of FDE and ODG to their color options list for the Trek-22 bullpup stock lineup. The Trek-22 bullpup stock kit for the 10/22 is 10.25″ shorter and 7% lighter than a standard 10/22 with a wood stock and 18″ barrel.

Hello and welcome back to another edition of The Rimfire Report! This ongoing series is all about the rimfire firearm world and its many firearms, ammunitions, and history! Last week we talked about the Margolin MCM .22LR target pistol, and Mikhail Margolin, its blind designer. I think the biggest takeaway for me from the entire story is the sheer dedication that Mikhail had to his passion for firearms. This week we are returning to The Rimfire Report for another review in the 10/22 category. Today we’re checking out the new-ish Desert Tech Trek-22 Bullpup 10/22 stock. I’ve been trying to get my hands on one of these for a while and Desert Tech graciously sent me one for testing and review purposes. Today we’ll be checking out the Trek-22 to see what it has to offer rimfire shooters which should give you a good idea of whether or not this is the aftermarket 10/22 product for you.
