Swarovski Optik Introduces the TX Encounter Thermal Monocular/Clip-On
Swarovski Optik has officially entered the thermal game with the launch of the TX Encounter, a dual-purpose thermal imaging device engineered with hunters in mind. Designed to serve as both a standalone monocular and a clip-on thermal imager for rifle scopes, the TX Encounter promises top-tier performance and precision, even in the worst environmental conditions.

For those who are looking for the thermal specifications, let’s start with mentioning the 640x480 sensor, with 12µm pixel size. The screen resolution is 2560x2048, and the field of view is 21.6x16.3 meters at 100 meters.
The TX Encounter is built to deliver crisp, high-contrast thermal imagery in total darkness, dense fog, or pouring rain. Whether handheld or mounted, it enables accurate target identification and game evaluation thanks to its automatic brightness adjustment and high-quality optics.
When used in clip-on mode, paired with a Swarovski Optik rifle scope and the appropriate adapter, Swarovski claims that the TX Encounter maintains 100% point-of-impact reliability without the need to re-zero your rifle.
The TX Encounter isn’t just for viewing; it’s also built for documenting your hunts. Integrated photo and video recording (including Recoil Activated Video) lets users capture shot sequences and key moments automatically. The footage can be reviewed directly in the TX Encounter’s onboard gallery or shared via the Swarovski Optik Outdoor App. There’s also a slow-motion mode for in-depth shot analysis.
The included accessories are two batteries, a charger, protective covers, and a carrying strap.
For those planning to use the TX Encounter on multiple rifles or optics, the optional tMA quick adapter allows fast, repeatable mounting. And for added convenience in clip-on mode, the optional RC remote control enables hands-free access to key features, ideal for minimizing movement in the field.
