Springfield's New Tri-Lug Kuna Offers Quick Suppressor Swaps
Springfield Armory's Kuna is a 9mm roller-delayed PDW design, now paired with an integrated Tri-Lug suppressor-mounting system, allowing compatible suppressors to be installed and removed without tools, using a push-and-twist connection. I don’t have a Kuna, but I have the tri-lug system on a few similar guns and it works great.

The upper receiver is monolithic aluminum, as usual, nothing has changed there, and the design keeps its full ambidextrousness and ships with two 30-round magazines. Two primary configurations are offered, one with a bare Picatinny rail at the rear of the receiver, and one with a side-folding Strike Industries FSA brace mounted.
Both tri-luggers are also available as low-capacity variants with 10-round magazines for areas with capacity restrictions. Springfield includes a FIRSTLINE program option offering discounts to qualified professionals.

Does the shift to Tri-Lug mounting change your approach to your suppressor inventory? Or do you prefer the normal factory 1/2×28 threaded barrel? I have both attachment systems on other 9mm PDWs, and if I were to answer the question, I couldn’t really tell if I have a preference. Both work a lot better than most (or all) Quick-Detach systems, especially once they get used and dirty.
