[SHOT 2026] Precision Armament TiTrex Silencers

Precision Armament had its new TiTrex suppressors on display at SHOT Show 2026. This lightweight suppressor has a single-piece printed core, but still offers upgrade potential thanks to the Xband serialized component. There are some other interesting design features hidden inside, too.

SHOT 2026 @ TFB:

The TiTrex is the first silencer product from Precision Armament. It is a 3D printed titanium can that weighs only 9.2 ounces, fully equipped with a threaded mount and front cap. Two end caps are included: a standard closed cap as well as one with a muzzle brake feature. Though this is a light silencer made of titanium, it has no barrel length restrictions. It is rated up to .300 RUM, possibly the most abusive caliber in this bore diameter. Their testing regime included use on an 8-inch .300 RUM, which sounds like one of the least fun guns possible.

Inside the suppressor, the baffle stack is not the same all the way through. Instead, the expansion chambers change in size and shape over the length of the suppressor. Thanks to the ease of iterative construction with additive manufacturing, Precision Armament was able to test numerous variations while developing the best possible suppressor. One test involved filling the suppressor with fluid and striking the fluid repeatedly to see where the suppressor eventually failed. Successive iterations of this test led to an extremely strong suppressor that was still light.

The Xband is the different colored ring at the base of the silencer. This is the serialized component. Precision Armament attaches it to the suppressor with a large press. If a customer manages to damage the baffle assembly, or if they want to change bore diameters, that is as quick as pushing off the Xband and installing it on a fresh core. Their testing also made sure the Xband was extremely survivable. A test with an M249 SAW fired until the suppressor burst left a perfectly undamaged Xband that was quickly reinstalled on another core.

Expect more TiTrex content on TFB soon. They sent a demo can out to me, and it is at my FFL waiting on paperwork so I can start the review process. The MSRP is $1199 and the .30 caliber titanium model is available for purchase now, with .26 and .36 caliber models and Inconel cores coming soon.

    I wouldn't fire that with Moltar's shoulder.

I'm solidly on team Point And Laugh At Manufacturers Who Try To Charge Legacy Prices In The Post-Tax Silencer Era, but this one sounds like it might actually be worth what they're charging for it. Still out of my price range, but reasonable for what you get.
