Glock Inc. brought the new Aimpoint Combo pistols to SHOT Show 2025, along with the new Glock Tactical Light II. Our team had the chance to shoot the new pistols and to check out the light. Keep reading for all the details and photos.

Glock @ TFB:

The new A-CUT mounting system is a departure from traditional red dot mounting. Rather than putting screws through an optic and into the slide, or into a plate which in turn screws to the slide, A-CUT sets the optic itself down into a cut out area of the slide. The front of the dot sits in the curved section with a small lip that holds over the front edge of the optic. The rear of the sight sights down into the cut out area as well. The rear sight bolts into the frame itself but acts as a clamping mechanism to hold the Aimpoint in place.

Aimpoint’s COA red dot sight has a 50,000-hour run time, and a 3.5 MOA dot. Battery replacement is simple and done through the right side of the optic. There is no need to remove the red dot from the gun, and it holds zero after battery changes.

A-Cut Glock models include:

  • G19 Gen 5
  • G45
  • G47
  • G43X
  • G48

Glock brought the A-Cut pistols to range day, and after shooting them it was surprising how large the window felt. It matches up nicely with the sides of the slide for a slim profile while still retaining a large viewable area. Rocking a hostage target plate back and forth was very easy with this combo.

The Glock Tactical Light II (GTL II) is the successor to the long-discontinued Glock Tactical Light. This new model packs 600 lumens and 11,100 candela and runs on CR123A batteries. It is also water resistant and has 70 minutes of runtime. The swith unit is interchangeable for press-in or push-forward operation and each side can be changed independently. The GTL II mounts on all standard-frame Glock models except the G29 and G30. It is available for purchase now direct from Glock for $135.56.

Aimpoint’s COA sight matches the width of the slide perfectly.
GTL II in constant-on mode.
The switches of the GTL II are customizable for press in or push forward operation.
Note how the front of the Aimpoint COA fits into a slot, and the rear sight traps it in place.

Gotta love the aesthetic of taking the smallest compact pistol you can find and bolting it to the bottom of a USPS-approved rural mailbox; it's like an early-gen laser on a fuill size handgun in an '80s action movie, only teensier.
