Angled Spade Launches Fulcrum, Fulcrum-Ti, and Lotus Suppressors
Angled Spade Technologies has added three suppressors to its catalog. The Fulcrum and Fulcrum-Ti are 6mm rifle cans built around the company's APEX internal-bypass system, while the Lotus is a short, light titanium suppressor for 9mm firearms. All three are listed at $899 and were available to order from Angled Spade's website at publication time.
This is not a case of one suppressor offered in three colors with three names. The two Fulcrums share dimensions and mounting hardware but make a clear durability-versus-weight trade. The Lotus is a different animal. It uses another baffle design, comes with a direct-thread adapter, and weighs only 5.2 ounces.
The specifications are interesting. The unanswered questions may be more interesting.
Fulcrum or Fulcrum-Ti?
The standard Fulcrum is made from Inconel 718. It measures 6.02 inches long and 1.6 inches in diameter, with a listed suppressor-only weight of 14 ounces. Angled Spade rates it for full-automatic fire and says it is optimized for 5.56 NATO while supporting projectiles up to 6mm. The company's examples include 6mm ARC, 6 MAX, 6 GT, 6 Dasher, 6mm Creedmoor, and .243 Winchester.
The Fulcrum-Ti occupies exactly the same envelope, but Angled Spade prints it from Grade 5 titanium. It weighs 7.7 ounces, a reduction of 6.3 ounces or 45 percent. That is enough to notice at the end of a rifle, especially on a light hunting or precision build.
There is, naturally, a bill for the diet. Angled Spade lists the titanium model as safe to 900°F rather than giving it the Inconel model's full-auto rating. The page does not publish a firing schedule or a barrel-length chart. Anyone planning to put either suppressor on a short barrel or run a high-volume schedule should get those limits directly from Angled Spade before treating a one-line temperature or full-auto rating as a permission slip.
The curious part is price. Both Fulcrums cost $899. Usually titanium extracts a premium, but here the buyer is choosing between a much lighter suppressor and the standard model's explicit hard-use rating without a price difference muddying the decision. For most bolt guns, the titanium version is the obvious paper choice. For a short semi-automatic rifle that gets hot in a hurry, the Inconel model has the clearer published job description.
APEX, Minus the Meter Results
Both rifle suppressors use Angled Spade's Axial Pressure Exchange, or APEX, baffle system. The company describes it as a sealed dual-bypass design that balances gas through the baffle stack. Angled Spade claims less back pressure than conventional baffles while retaining better suppression than vented designs. An integral flash-hiding feature is built into the end cap.
That sounds like the goal of nearly every modern rifle suppressor: reduce sound and flash without blasting an unreasonable amount of gas back through the action. Angled Spade does not publish sound-pressure measurements, a test protocol, or quantitative back-pressure data on either product page, however. There is also no independent testing attached to the launch. Until someone puts microphones and host rifles to work, APEX is a design description and a set of manufacturer claims, not a result.
Both models use the familiar 1.375x24 HUB pattern. Angled Spade lists an APB Plan B HUB mount and a Dominion 5.56 1/2x28 Plan B muzzle brake with each suppressor, plus two wrenches and a patch. Common does not mean foolproof. Check thread pitch, shoulder geometry, adapter engagement, and bore alignment before firing any new combination. A suppressor mount is a terrible place to discover that “close enough” was doing a lot of work.
The Five-Ounce Lotus
The Lotus is the oddball, in the useful sense. It measures 5.08 inches long and 1.5 inches in diameter. Grade 5 titanium construction keeps its listed weight to 5.2 ounces without a mount. That makes it an intriguing match for a compact pistol-caliber carbine or subgun-style host where a long, heavy tube would defeat the point.
Angled Spade calls its internal system Diffused Radial Internal Flow Technology, mercifully shortened to DRIFT. The company says the design balances gas flow to reduce back pressure and improve suppression. Again, there are no published sound numbers or comparative data on the product page, so the same caution applies.
The Lotus uses the HUB convention, and Angled Spade says it will accept aftermarket pistons and three-lug mounts. The listed package includes a 1/2x28 direct-thread-to-HUB adapter, not a piston and booster. Direct thread makes sense on an appropriate fixed-barrel host. A typical Browning-type tilting-barrel pistol normally requires the correct piston and booster assembly to cycle safely and reliably, so buyers should budget for the right hardware rather than screwing on the included adapter and hoping the laws of mechanics take the afternoon off.
There is also a wording problem worth clearing up. The Lotus overview calls it a “9mm kurz suppressor,” while the technical specifications simply list the caliber as 9mm. “9mm Kurz” normally refers to .380 ACP, not 9x19mm Luger. The rest of the page discusses pistol, subgun, and carbine use but does not publish an ammunition list, pressure limit, or barrel restriction. Angled Spade should clarify that language. Until it does, prospective owners should confirm approved cartridges and hosts with the manufacturer rather than infer them from the bore size.
An Experienced Company, a New Test
Angled Spade says it began in 2022 as a firearms-industry consultancy before expanding into consumer products. Its principals include engineers and executives with experience at Savage Arms, Century Arms, Polymer80, Vudoo Gun Works, and SilencerCo. TFB has previously covered the company's P320 fire-control upgrade and Imperium 9C Glock upper. Suppressors are a logical move for this group, but résumés do not substitute for test results.
On paper, the line is neatly divided. The Fulcrum is the durable rifle option, the Fulcrum-Ti cuts nearly half the weight for heat-conscious users, and the Lotus goes after compact 9mm hosts. HUB compatibility and included rifle mounts are practical choices. The $899 price is straightforward.
What remains is the stuff a product page cannot settle: sound at the shooter's ear and muzzle, flash, point-of-impact shift, gas at the face, accuracy, and durability over a real firing schedule. Those answers will require independent testing. For now, Angled Spade has produced three credible spec sheets and one very light 9mm can, with enough missing data to keep the meter crowd employed.
Suppressors remain subject to federal transfer and registration requirements under the National Firearms Act, and state and local restrictions vary. Buyers should verify current law and the correct transfer process before ordering.
