[SHOT 2025] Arsenal AK-20 Rifles Now Available

Arsenal first showed their AK-20 concept rifles back at SHOT Show 2020. While retaining AK rifles’ renowned reliable mechanism, these rifles are designed to offer modern features like free floated handguard and adjustable gas system. Well, after five years, the first model of the AK-20 rifle, a 7.62x39 SBR, is finally available for purchase. Let’s take a closer look.
Arsenal @ TFB:
The wait is finally over.
Based on the long-revered AK platform, Arsenal has re-imagined this classic firearm with innovative features and an updated look-&-feel that truly brings it into the 21st century. We've kept the best and improved the rest by creating a system that combines all of the operational reliability that you know and trust, with the modern elements that serious shooters demand.
The new Arsenal AK-20 SBR features a milled receiver with ambidextrous QD sling swivel sockets at the rear portion and an AR-15 pattern receiver extension compatible with standard AR stocks. The 8.5” cold hammer forged and chrome lined barrel has a twist rate of 1:9.44” (1:240mm) and launches the bullets at a muzzle velocity of 1,969 fps. The muzzle threads are 24x1.5mm and the gun comes with a KR-009B 4-piece flash hider. The aluminum handguard has M-LOK slots on the sides and bottom and a 10.5” top Picatinny rail that extends back over the receiver. The finish of this rifle is Cerakote with only black color available at the moment of writing. The overall length of this rifle is 28” and the weight without a magazine is 7.12 lbs.
The adjustable gas system of AK-20 rifles has three settings. The setting marked “MIL-STD” is for shooting regular ammunition. The setting marked “SUB” is for shooting subsonic ammunition with a suppressor. The third unmarked setting, which is located between the MIL-STD and SUB, restricts gas flow decreasing the BCG velocity for smoother cycling action when shooting supersonic ammunition with a suppressor, however, this setting will not cycle the action if subsonic ammunition is used.
The MSRP of the Arsenal AK-20 SBR is $3499.99. The rifle comes with one 30-round magazine. Pistol and rifle versions of the AK-20 will be available soon.

All we want are SLR10xFR, CR and UR. Is that too much to ask? Nobody wants a $3500 milled concept gun that looks like the laziest modernization of an AK possible. Like we can do this with aftermarket stuff for half the price, and will probably look and work better.
I love ya, Arsenal, but give the people what they want, not what you wished we want.
