It’s shotgun time here at TFB’s Photo Of The Day. The Beretta 1301 Tactical Mod. 2 Shotgun is a refined version of its predecessor, designed for reliability and performance. Here you see it in FDE. It features an upgraded forend with textured knurling for a secure grip and three M-LOK sections for attaching accessories. The semi-flat tactical trigger provides a clean break with minimal reset, while the Pro-Lifter simplifies reloading. The B-LINK gas system and rotating bolt ensure fast and reliable cycling.

The model is said to be available in Black, FDE, OD Green, and Gray, and comes with a 7+1 capacity, making it suitable for professional, competitive, and home defense use.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any images of the OD Green version, so FDE will do. Please make mine with a pistol grip, a strong weapon’s light and a red dot.

The barrel is 18.5”, and 12 ga. The price starts at $1,899.

Cylinder bore or choice of chokes?

This is a great shotgun. The one I used is a comp version. Pros? cycled everything except mini shells (go figure). Used for clay and never missed a beat. Solid gun mechanically and fairly easy to strip for cleaning. It's taken some abuse and just brushed it off. Lil CLP and carry on. Accessories are getting more and more available so bonus. Well balanced and not a brick. Recoil is reasonable depending on what you feed it of course. A few down sides? The front hand grip feels a bit flimsy. Not a fan of the bolt release/unloading button. There are work around's but why should you pay extra to address a poor engineering design. Still it's an excellent shotgun, Beretta!
