POTD: SK Guns Kingdom of Aztlán Series - Huitzilopochtli
SK Guns is releasing a limited run of 500 Colt 1911 pistols chambered in .38 Super, named the “Kingdom of Atzlán” series, starting with the “Huitzilopochtli” model. Yes, I’m having problems trying to pronounce that as well, so let’s admire this magic Photo Of The Day instead. Aztlán is the mythical homeland of the Mexica (Aztecs), described as a northern paradise. The Mexica migrated from Aztlán, guided by their god Huitzilopochtli, to found Tenochtitlán in 1325. Huitzilopochtli, the deity of the sun and war, directed them to a promised land marked by an eagle on a cactus eating a snake, which is now the Mexican national emblem.
Some of the design details:
Left Slide: Depicts the Aztec migration with the sun rising over Chapultepec Hills, a Mexican snake near the muzzle, and an eagle with the Colt serpent logo at the rear. Features subtle shading with Aztec symbols and 24k gold-plated art.
Right Slide: Shows a hummingbird (representing Huitzilopochtli) with “AZTLÁN” in stylized lettering, shaded with Aztec symbols.
Top Slide: Displays “Huitzilopochtli” with an Aztec codex and a 24k gold Aztec union star near the rear sight.
Frame and Finish: High-polished frame, slide, barrel, and hardware with selective 24k gold plating and a deep Colt Royal Blue finish.
The grip: Engraved beechwood grips with a Mexican eagle holding a snake.
Each of the 500 Full Size Government Model Colt 1911s includes a unique engraved edition number. The price is $2650, which is less than I expected.

The movement among some to suggest that the southwest should be returned to the control of Mexico, is still a real thing. The mass illegal invasion is merely a symptom of this, masquerading as a refugee or economic migrant crisis. The truth is that it is the continuing aftermath of the Mexican-American war, one which the Mexican side has never truly honored, despite a signed treaty and fair payment for territory. It's not a race thing, it's a nationality issue.
What's next, an engraved Tokarev honoring Mao with a map of China that includes Taiwan? Why would anyone make a pistol honoring those that hate our Republic? Why would you write an article about it except to mock it? Due better bud.
