It’s not often we see extraordinary projects like this in our Photo Of The Day. This single shot rifle uses 114gr of powder to push a 300gr A-Tip bullet, out of a short and quite lightweight build.

The 33XC cartridge is popular in events like the King of 1 or 2 miles, with targets up to 2400 yards.

According to Johann Fanzoj, this is the first attempt to build a classy breakdown mechanism with this caliber in an individually designed and handcrafted luxury firearm. The riflescope is a ZC527, but perhaps a ZCO840 would have been better suited for the longer ranges? In any case, just look at the thickness of the rings, not to mention the details. The engraver seems to have left the bipod from B&T alone, perhaps best so.

Specifications:

  • Barrel length : 67,5cm (26.5inch)
  • Rifle weight: 6.1kg/ 13,5lbs
  • Total weight 7,5kg/ 16,5lbs including a Zero Compromise scope.

Fabulously captured in steel by Austrian engraver Peter Schaschl“
