POTD: Barrett MRADELR in 416 Barrett

What a beast of a rifle in today’s Photo Of The Day. We’re talking about the MRADELR, made by Barrett which was introduced about one year ago. As you may know, Barrett has secured their first international government contract with the MRAD Extreme Long Range (MRADELR) sniper system. It’s not yet official who the customer is, but if you see someone looking for large numbers of 416 Barrett it might be a clue.

This rifle has a Vortex riflescope (I think) and an Accu-Tac bipod. The system is standing on a Really Right Stuff tripod (yes, one of those is on my wish list as well). With a barrel length of 36” (914 mm) and a total length of 62” (1575 mm) this is an impressive sight, sure to make an impact both on the shooting range and whatever you’re hitting.

Have you seen the price tag on this setup? Luigi would bankrupt the mushroom kingdom with this.

That’s a Nightforce 7-35x56 scope, the texture on the mag ring is very distinctive.
