JK Armament Now Selling HUB Booster Assembly

JK Armament has a new piston and booster assembly that is compatible with HUB threading. The JK HUB Piston Mount can adapt any HUB-threaded suppressor for use on a tilting-barrel handgun. Why would you want to do that? Keep reading to find out.

Booster devices are found on suppressors used on tilting barrel handguns. Most pistols have a barrel that points up slightly after firing, allowing the action to unlock. Adding a weighty silencer to the end of that barrel can throw off the barrel movement and induce failures. A booster assembly puts a spring between the suppressor and the barrel mount, which allows the silencer to move while the barrel moves, thus increasing reliability.

JK advertises the HUB Piston Mount for use with their JK 155 suppressor, and it is a safe bet that it will work with that can. However, because it uses HUB threading, it will be compatible with a host of other suppressors from various manufacturers. However, due to the wide variations in design and weight, it may not work with every compatibly-threaded suppressor.
