Christmas is coming, and with it the inevitable return of Bruce Willis and Die Hard. It is, in fact, a Christmas movie, and in time for this Christmas, you have the opportunity to buy an exact replica of the holster used in the film. Keep reading to find out how to get your own.

Galco @ TFB:

The Original Galco Die Hard Movie Rig, as it is officially known, holds a Beretta M9, 96, or 92, and two spare magazines. It fits chests up to 56 inches, so you barrel-chested types are still in luck. The color options are distressed tan or distressed tan.

This is a premium holster and a limited edition custom item with a limited and custom edition price tag of $489. But unlike some custom items, it ships within about two weeks, so if you order soon you would easily have it in time for your December Die Hard marathon. Galco also throws in a “Now I Have A Galco Rig Ho-Ho-Ho” t-shirt with the holster for extra movie vibes. Head over to the Galco website to pick up your own Die Hard holster.

From the manufacturer:

“On Christmas Eve of 1988, a group of robbers posing as terrorists seized Los Angeles’s Nakatomi Plaza and occupied Nakatomi Tower. One courageous man faced them alone – armed only with his wits, a Santa Claus hat, a Zippo lighter, and a Beretta 92FS carried in a Galco shoulder holster.
This holiday season, you too can own The Original Galco Die Hard Movie Rig. A custom retro design, it uses the 1980s-era three-point shoulder harness mated to holster and magazine carrier components for the classic Beretta 92FS. The premium leather is distressed at the factory, providing a vintage look to match the well-worn film prop as worn by John McClane in his battle with Hans Gruber.
This is not just Gen X’s shoulder rig, though. It’s a practical, fully functional piece of daily carry gear, easily up to the task of comfortably carrying that big Beretta all day, every day. Like every shoulder system in the premium-steerhide Miami Classic family, it carries the pistol in a horizontal orientation for speed and concealability. Two spare magazines carried opposite the pistol provide plenty of firepower and balance the weight of the Beretta.
Speaking of Berettas, true to the film and the character, this Rig is only available for the Beretta 92FS – the choice of almost every action hero in the 1980s and 1990s! The reliable, accurate Beretta remains a fine defensive pistol today.
And as a special holiday bonus, when you order a Die Hard Movie Rig, you’ll also get a Nakatomi Tower Christmas t-shirt. Just look at the images. It’s not quite an Ugly Christmas Sweater – but if you know, you know.
Celebrate the holidays with the coolest Christmas gift ever, for yourself or someone else, from the coolest Christmas movie ever – get The Original Galco Die Hard Movie Rig!
Yippy-ki-yay!”

Mike at Galco, I’m not saying that $500 isn’t a good value for a faithful and high quality replica. Hell, for those with the means, I’d say follow the impulse and rock it while watching from your sofa. I would. But for $500, at least include a roll of equally faithfully reproduced “Seasons Greetings” tape as a redundancy. Merry Christmas.

I love this movie, a real oldie but a goodie . quite a number of memorable

lines in it actually, pretty good screenwriting .

Of course theres the classic scene with the dead terrorist in the elevator ,

    "now I have a machine gun , HO , HO , HO " .

I hope we don't get the haters of this movie come out, like the haters of the

Micheal Mann classic HEAT came out of the woodwork. Gotta love that bank

robbery shoot out scene there . The scenes where the money launderer and

Waynegro got it were also pretty good scenes also.
