The year is 2024—almost 2025—but John Moses Browning’s 1911-pattern pistol design is not dead yet. Anything but! To prove it, check out the latest offering from EAA, the new Influencer X from Girsan, coming optics-ready from the factory in your choice of four calibers.

EAA/Girsan @ TFB:

Ready for the bullseye

There’s nothing mysterious or revolutionary about the Influencer X’s basic design; it’s a full-sized single-stack pistol built on a familiar pattern. Girsan has been building semi-auto 1911s for years now, and EAA has brought quite a few of them into the U.S. market. What’s new is the optics-ready design. According to EAA’s PR:

The rear sight is fully adjustable and removable for mounting any red dot with an RMS/RMSc footprint. Designed with competition, personal protection, and critical duty in mind, the Influencer X meets the demand of every role. With it's Full-length accessory rail, fully machined forged steel frame, machined steel slide, flared magazine well, extended beavertail, ambidextrous thumb safety, accuracy test target, aggressive grip texturing, two-tone Cerakote finish, an excellent trigger and lightening-cut slide all come standard in a durable, hard travel case.

The Influencer X is available in four calibers, including the zippy .38 Super, the basically standard 9x19mm and .45 ACP, and the hard-hitting 10mm Auto. The .45 ACP and 9x19mm versions are more affordable, with a $689 MSRP; the other two choices have a $729 MSRP. All versions of the pistol have a 9+1 magazine capacity except for the .45 ACP variant, which has an 8+1 capacity.

Overall length is 8.75 inches for all variants, with a five-inch barrel, and a weight of 2.55 pounds.

EAA already has the new pistols up on its website, with more details and info on where to buy them—see here.

Tragically awful name. Another one. Wonder if it's people ag EAA or Girsan that's responsible for that trend.

The INFLUENCER: A gun name that's perfect for the aggressive bank robber or 3rd world tyrannical leader.
