James Reeves is with the guys from Genesis to talk about their new less lethal shotgun, the Genesis Arms GEN-12 LL. It’s a less lethal shotgun designed with law enforcement use in mind. It features a semi-auto, Mil-Spec AR trigger with AR controls and ergonomics, a 10.5” smoothbore barrel, and a high-visibility orange color for differentiation. The shotgun is designed to fire bean bag less lethal munitions and includes a 5-round magazine and soft case. It’s made with a 6061 aluminum upper, lower, and handguard, and has a delayed blowback mechanism.

Premium optic mount and accessory manufacturer, Unity Tactical, is introducing their own magnifier and swing mount combo in 2024! While Unity Tactical is known for making top-tier mounts, this is their first foray into the optic magnifier game, so it should be exciting. And while we don’t have firm pricing and availability, Unity Tactical assures us that this magnifier/mount combo is going to be reasonably priced and available this year. Genesis has been making big waves in the commercial market with their semi-auto shotguns, but now it has been awarded a federal contract for this, the Genesis MBS or Modern Breaching Shotgun. A short-barrelled, short profile, big performance semi-auto that’s small but easy to use, the MBS is a powerful little package.

One of the highlights each year is Heckler & Koch‘s booth at EnforceTac. It’s easy to underestimate this two-day exhibition and its importance for defense and homeland security. About 8,000 people from about 70 countries come to the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg each year, which may look like a low figure but Enforce Tac is a trade fair for professionals from government agencies with security responsibilities and the armed forces only. Next year the exhibition will grow with one more exhibition hall, and one day extra, and we’re already looking forward to 2024. Heckler & Koch has its natural place here, and their booth is always crowded. Last year I reviewed the Concamo Ghosthood and some of the components in their Confusion Camouflage System. I was quite satisfied with the quality and performance of their products, and their camoflage which consists of 25 superimposed layers which create a “chaotic illusion”.
