Caracal USA has announced a new supply contract with government agencies in The Bahamas for its CMP9K platform, marking continued expansion in the Caribbean region. The CMP9K is a compact 9×19mm semi-automatic platform designed for law enforcement and defense applications. It operates on a blowback system and is intended to deliver consistent reliability with reduced recoil in a lightweight configuration.

The platform features a 6-inch cold hammer-forged barrel and is built with aluminum upper and lower receivers. Controls follow an AR/M4-style layout and are fully ambidextrous, supporting ease of use and compatibility with existing training standards.

For mounting options, the CMP9K includes a Picatinny top rail along with M-LOK interface points for accessories. It is also compatible with 30-round MP5-pattern magazines, offering logistical flexibility for agencies already using similar systems.

“Working with our Caribbean regional representatives, I.I. & E, Caracal USA products have become well known with the government agencies of Caribbean nations,” said Jeffrey Spalding, CEO and President of Caracal USA. “Our dedication to safety, reliability, and durability has proven to showcase the quality of Caracal USA weapon systems and allowed us the opportunity to compete within tender solicitations and be awarded supply contracts for new modern weapon systems to the Bahamas.”

According to Caracal USA, the contract reflects ongoing efforts to support international partners with modern small arms platforms tailored to operational requirements. The agreement further expands the company’s presence among government and law enforcement users in the region.
