Bond Arms Has New "First Lady" Derringer

Derringers haven’t changed a lot since, oh, the late 1800s. How much can you change a break-action pistol? But Bond Arms is doing their best, introducing new big-bore cartridges into their lineup, and along with madcap inventions like a .410 hideaway gun, the mini-pistol specialist is also bringing out limited-edition stuff like their new First Lady Pistol.

Bond Arms @ TFB:

Looks that can kill

The Bond Arms First Lady pistol is emblazoned with a drawing that’s obviously meant to be Melania Trump in her Inauguration Day outfit from January 2025.

You know, the dark blue outfit with the chapèu that some news outlets called a boater-style hat, and other less-charitable outlets compared to the headgear seen in Dick Tracy comic strips, and that it was sending a message. Your own opinion may vary, since style is all subjective anyway.

Aside from that, you get a black Cerakote finish, with “First Lady” laser-engraved in script onto the top barrel, and “Class, Strength, Beauty” laser-engraved onto the bottom barrel, both on the right side. And on the left side of the pistol, you get a flag laser etched onto the barrels. Is it classy, or crass? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

The mechanical bits

The pistol uses Bond Arms’ Stinger RS frame with extended B6 resin grips. The sights are fixed, and this is a single-action pistol, with the shooter cocking the hammer before each shot. The barrels are 3 inches long.

It’s chambered in .38 Special, and Bond Arms says that although this is a rimmed cartridge, the pistol has no extractor. MSRP is $497, and the gun can now be purchased online through specific retailers; see more details at Bond Arms’ website here.

Our current First Lady is smarter, classier and 1000 degrees hotter than any that you TDSing losers have ever touched or even walked beside.

    The gun probably sucks though.

AGREE RR , but any gun you'll carry is better than nothing

This type of derringer is great for S.A.S.S. competition, but as a carry piece, derringers are a very poor choice. The days of a Riverboat Gambler are far gone, and 2 shot derringers went with them. There's a limit to nostalgia !

Still a nice tribute to a VERY classy Lady.
