New Benchmade 430BK Redoubt Full-Size Folding Knives Now Shipping
Announced earlier this year at SHOT Show 2022, Benchmade’s new 430BK Redoubt full-size knives are finally on sale and shipping to customers and distributors. Intended primarily as an outdoor/survival knife, the full-size folding blades feature CMP-D2 (60-62 HRC) blade steel and a durable steel handle. Benchmade also markets this knife as a good option for self-defense.

The new 430BK Redoubt will come in two trims, each with the same general specifications except for one major difference – the choice for blade serrations. The 430BK Redoubt will feature a smooth drop-point blade style while the 430SBK will feature a serrated drop-point blade with the serrations appearing to start right around two inches from the tip of the blade. The 430BK comes standard with a Cobalt Black finish, reversible tip-up deep carry clip, Grivory thermoplastic handle panels, and a lanyard hole. The knife weighs in at 3.7 ounces, has a blade length of 3.55 inches, and an overall length of 8.29 inches when opened. For what you get, Benchmade has been way overpriced since day one. They have nothing that can not be had for a lot less from other manufacturers.
Unless something has drastically changed, the benchmade serrations suck.
Too small and a beach to sharpen,
But then, I don't have much use for a serrated blade over a sharp plain edge.
And, yes I have 2 BMK with serrations, I know of what I speak.
Also way overpriced for what you get.
