New Suppressors: YHM R9 – YHM Nitro N20 – YHM Turbo Integral

Hot off the heels of their latest suppressor announcement – the Resonator K, Yankee Hill Machine has rolled out three additional releases that we hope to get our hands on at the 2020 SHOT Show. The YHM R9, the YHM Nitro N20 and the YHM Turbo Integral 5.56mm AR-15 upper Receiver all fit in to different categories host, price point and functional categories. Let’s take a look.
First, YHM has turned their popular Turbo T2 silencer into a complete 5.56mm integral AR-15 upper system. The whole package is pinned and welded to a 16” overall length, avoiding the need for a short barreled rifle registration and $200 tax stamp.
Next up we have the YHM R9 9mm silencer. Built for 9mm pistol caliber carbines, the R9 can pull triple duty as a three lug mount suppressor, a pistol suppressor (with a booster module) and a rifle suppressor up to .308Win at certain barrel lengths. Think of the R9 as a Turbo/Resonator hybrid with a pistol caliber kick.
And last but not least, we have the Nitro N20 modular that can be run on almost any caliber up to .308Win (check your barrel length), including three-lug mount capability, piston mounts for pistol hosts and direct thread attachments. In addition, the Nitro N20 has a modular forward section that allows it to be run in either short or long configurations.
We’ll bring you more from Next week’s SHOT Show coverage. Stay tuned.
And don’t forget to check out TFB’s weekly series Silencer Saturday.

Damn, I wish that was on the market back when I was shopping for a tri-lug 9mm.
So the R9 looks like a SilencerCo Omega 9k clone, but with an MSRP of about $150-250 under the street price of the Omega 9k. That looks like it fits in reasonably well with the rest of the Turbo/Resonator line--High-end features, at a budget price.
The N20 looks like a clone of the Dead Air Wolfman, but at an MSRP almost $300 higher than the Wolfman, which in turn usually sells for around $165 under MSRP. At those prices, unless there's some secret sauce involved, or they include ALL the different attachment options at that price (Pistol booster housing, 3 lug, etc.), then it really doesn't look like it makes any sense in the current market--To fit in with the rest of their line it really ought to have an MSRP of $750 or less.
