HOW ABOUT A GEL TEST COMPARISON OF A FEDERAL 357B 125 GRAIN .357 MAGNUM FIRED FROM A 6" OR GREATER BARREL VS. A PDW, SUCH AS A CQBR 10.3" BARRELED UPPER FIRING M193, M855, M855A1, MK262, OR HORNADY TAP 75 GRAIN. THROW IN .300 BLACKOUT FOR GOOD MEASURE FROM A SIG RATTLER.

What I would really like to see is a test of .357 lever guns with barrel lengths of 16", 18", 20", and 24" with both the Leverevolution and standard handgun rounds. Do the increased barrel lengths provide any benefit?

@Sebastacat You're not likely to see much extra velocity, by percentage, after 16". The ratio of case capacity to bore diameter (regardless of high tech powder) just doesn't help much in longer barrels.

Similar case capacity as .300 BLK, but larger bore diameter and lower pressure. Therefore, less benefit from long barrels relative to .300 BLK.
