POTD: 213 Reasons the SIG MK25 Jack Carr Edition Will Sell Out Fast

Few pistols carry the kind of personal history that Jack Carr's MK25 does. The former Navy SEAL and #1 New York Times bestselling author carried the P226/MK25 through every deployment over a twenty-year special operations career, and its fictional counterpart drove a key plot thread in his debut novel The Terminal List. Now, SIG Custom Works has made that bond tangible in a limited-edition collector's package that pairs the pistol with another piece of Carr's personal iconography.

The SIG Custom Works Jack Carr + Winkler Knives Limited Edition MK25 is built on the full-size 9mm DA/SA platform, with a 4.4-inch carbon steel barrel, stainless steel slide finished in Vietnam Tiger Stripe Cerakote by Blowndeadline, and SIGLITE night sights. The slide carries a deep-engraved crossed tomahawk logo, also executed by Blowndeadline, while the curly maple grip panels feature matching crossed tomahawk medallions intentionally mirroring the craftsmanship of the included Winkler RnD Compact Hawk. The package ships in a waterproof Pelican 1450 case with custom-cut foam and includes three 15-round steel magazines and a custom Jack Carr challenge coin. MSRP is $2,299.99.

Production is capped at 213 units, a number that doubles as Carr's BUD/S class number. At that run, the waiting list may already be longer than the supply.

What do people end up doing with “challenge coins”? And why are they a thing in the gun community? I imagine they all just sit in the case forever

Is there a piece of bacon stuck between the slide catch and the decocker? Kind of looks like it.
