Warne Turns the Glock 43X/48 15-Round Mag into a 20-Rounder
The Glock 43X and 48 are slim guns, and twenty rounds is not slim. Warne has launched a +5 Extension for the Glock 15-round steel magazine used in both pistols, and it takes the total capacity to 20 rounds without a new magazine body.
The extension is precision-machined from aluminum and is black anodized. A secure locking mechanism attaches it firmly to the magazine tube. Each extension comes with a new magazine spring, which provides the extra length and spring tension needed for the additional rounds. The extension is built only for Glock's own 15-round steel magazines, and the magazine itself is not included.
Capacity is not the only job the extension has. The aluminum adds a little weight to the bottom of the magazine, which helps it drop free when empty and makes magazine changes faster and more consistent. A finger groove makes the magazine easier to grip.
Warne Director of Operations Victor Ianciuc says the extensions "take an already very capable firearm platform to the next level," and that they were designed to improve durability and ergonomics along with capacity. The +5 Extension is made in the USA and backed by Warne's lifetime warranty.
Warne lists an MSRP of $54.99. As you can imagine, these will not ship to California, Colorado, Connecticut, D.C., Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington or Vermont. Buyers are responsible for knowing their local laws.
