The fact that Heckler & Koch is celebrating 75 years may have escaped some, but their HK 75th Anniversary Limited Edition Knife is now available for everyone. In short, it features a hand-forged Damascus steel blade from Böker, with each knife individually engraved and numbered from 1 to 75. Only 75 of these knives will ever be made (I wonder where they got that number from?).

Various Knives @ TFB:

The handle is made from walnut wood, shaped and finished for a solid, comfortable grip. A leather sheath is included for protection and carry. The knife comes in a presentation box, along with a certificate of authenticity.

The overall specifications are:

  • Overall Length: 11.25 in
  • Blade Length: 6.06 in
  • Weight: 6.41oz
  • Blade Material: Stainless Damascus
  • Sheath: Leather

Hand-forged Damascus steel blade is known for its unique layered patterns and durability. This is a small production run intended for collectors or anyone who values detailed craftsmanship.

HK offers quite a few different knives together with Houge, both fixed and folding, but only two together with Böker.

Now, to the part that everyone has been waiting for. What is the price and is it affordable? Can I finally own an HK? The HK75 knife is $699, and considering it’s still available, the market may have already given its verdict. You may find the MP7 Personal Duty Knife (Böker) a lot more affordable at $116.95. As usual, comments are welcome as long as you behave.

It says 6.41 oz. That’s ounces. Less than half a pound

    $700 for a knife isn't reasonable.

That depends on what you are looking for. A full tang Damascus blade takes a lot more work and time that a standard steel blade. Custom knives on the market usually start north of $300, so this is not terribly shocking all things considered. Moe than I can reasonably afford (I would if I could), but not shocking.
