TALO Drops Two New Smith & Wesson Exclusive Pistols
TALO Distributors has announced two new Smith & Wesson Performance Center M&P9 M2.0 exclusives, marking the distributor's first semi-automatic exclusives with S&W in several years. Both pistols are chambered in 9mm and feature factory compensators straight from Smith & Wesson's Performance Center. The two new models are the Performance Center M&P9 M2.0 Metal Gold Comp and the Performance Center M&P9 M2.0 Polymer Copper Comp. TALO expected both to reach dealer shelves by February 2026.
The Metal Gold Comp
The M&P9 M2.0 PC Metal Gold Comp pairs Smith & Wesson's metal-framed M&P platform with a gold finish and a Strike Industries threaded compensator. It ships optic-ready with a ClearSight slide cut, a front night sight, and the M2.0 flat-face trigger. No manual thumb safety on this one.
If the standard M&P9 Metal in Gold is any indication, expect the same 18-degree grip angle, four interchangeable palmswell inserts, and a 1:10 twist barrel. The standard Metal in Gold runs $949 with a 7.4-inch overall length and a weight around 30 ounces. TALO hasn't published an MSRP for the exclusive, but the addition of a Performance Center compensator and exclusive trim will likely push it higher.
Smith & Wesson's metal-framed M&P line has been expanding fast. The company showed off new metal-frame pistols and the 360 BuckHammer 1854 at SHOT Show 2026, and we've spent time with the Performance Center M&P9 M2.0 Full Size Metal Carry Comp already. That gun ran well, so there's reason to expect the TALO variant will too.
The Polymer Copper Comp
Details on the second exclusive are thinner. The Performance Center M&P9 M2.0 Polymer Copper Comp (Item 14618) uses the standard polymer M&P frame rather than the heavier metal chassis. TALO describes it as featuring copper accents, though the distributor hasn't released full specifications or images yet.
The polymer frame should keep the weight down compared to its metal sibling, which could make this the more carry-friendly option of the pair. But until TALO or Smith & Wesson release the full spec sheet, we're working with broad strokes.
What's a TALO Exclusive?
For anyone unfamiliar, TALO Distributors commissions limited-edition and exclusive firearms from major manufacturers and distributes them through its network of stocking sporting goods dealers across the country. Think of them as the special-edition trim package of the gun world. TALO exclusives typically feature unique finishes, upgraded components, or configurations you won't find in the standard catalog.
These two M&P9 pistols are distributed through TALO's member dealers. Check with your local dealer for availability and pricing.
