The six handgun loads currently cataloged include four 9mm choices: 115- and 124-grain round-nose FMJ, plus 115- and 147-grain flat-nose FMJ. A 180-grain .40 S&W flat-nose load and 230-grain .45 ACP round-nose load round out the live listings. All come in 50-round boxes. Winchester says it uses high-sensitivity primers for tuned competition pistols.

Winchester Ammunition has introduced AutoBuck, a new 12-gauge buckshot ammunition built from the ground up to run reliably in semi-automatic shotguns. The load is positioned as a versatile option covering hunting, personal defense, and target shooting from a single SKU. The engineering focus here was reliability in gas-operated and inertia-driven semi-autos, platforms that can be more finicky with buckshot loads than pump or break-action designs.

Last I heard, the best-selling lever-action rifle in the US market, ever, was the Winchester Model 94 (it used to be the best-selling rifle of any kind, but the AR has changed that). As we roll through the 2020s, the U.S. military’s plans to move to a new fighting rifle are moving forward—at a glacial pace, perhaps, but still moving forward. The latest sign is news that Winchester has started construction on a new factory to crank out 6.8x51mm ammunition, for military contracts.
