Wheelgun Wednesday: My Experience At Rock Island Auction
Welcome back to another edition of Wheelgun Wednesday. This week, I wanted to take a look at my experience at Rock Island Auction and purchasing a gun from this company. If you are a true gun guy, going to the RIA auctions and purchasing a gun should certainly be on your bucket list. Wheelgun Wednesday: Single-Action Revolvers For Any Budget Range
For reasons that go far beyond the actual historical record, no firearm is as closely associated with America’s western frontier as the Colt Single Action Army revolver. Introduced in 1873, the original Colt SAA was in production until 1940, with 357,859 revolvers built during that run. Production rebooted in the 1970s and continues until today, but Colt’s modern Peacemaker is an expensive revolver, just as it always has been. Here’s a look at competing products, at price levels for anyone.

After handling it at SHOT2024 I had to get my hands on it and see how it performed under some old soul range time. Does it stand up to competing models? What sets it apart? Let’s dive right into my review of the Taurus Deputy!
