If you spend enough time shopping for a civilian AK, you’ll keep running into one name: WBP. The Polish manufacturer has built a reputation over the last decade for making rifles that look and feel like the military classics, but with the fit, finish, and reliability that modern shooters expect. If you had walked into WBP’s shop in Rogów, Poland, a couple of decades ago, you wouldn’t have seen rifles. You’d have seen ironing boards and parade sabers. That’s where the company started. But over time, WBP shifted gears—first into defense manufacturing, then into building some of the most respected civilian AK-pattern rifles on the market.

Almost exactly three years ago, I got rare access to Beretta Due—the private custom gun workshop where Beretta builds its most exclusive firearms by hand. These shotguns start around $8,000 and climb to over $250,000, depending on the level of engraving, wood, and customization. From Olympic-grade competition shotguns to museum-quality masterpieces, Beretta Due is where old-world craftsmanship meets cutting-edge performance. In this video, I tour the facility with Beretta’s own team to see every step of the process: engraving, wood selection, custom cases, and fitting. This isn’t just a gun factory—it’s a temple of craftsmanship.

At the very end of August, I had the extreme pleasure of going on a tour at the Silencer Cental headquarters where all of the quiet magic happens. Silencer Central formerly Dakota Silencers has been delivering silence for over 15 years (closing in on 20!). They are arguably the largest silencer company out there and have some of the most thoughtful customer services regarding easy and painless silencer purchases. What I witnessed at their headquarters on my Silencer Central tour reflected that and more. Let’s dive right in!

Located in Thun (pronounced “toon”) Switzerland sits B&T’s Swiss Factory of Dreams where firearms and accessories can be scaled to outfit a military while others are built simply “Because They Can”.  I had the rare opportunity to travel to B&T AG’s Swiss headquarters and be given a tour of where some of the most mainstream, obscure, and simply fascinating ideas in the firearms world come to life.  Here’s what I found inside B&T headquarters in Switzerland.

Growing up in Northern Michigan made it fairly easy to get into hunting. As I became older, I always wanted a Weatherby rifle and when I was in high school that dream became a reality. I ended up being able to buy a .300 Weatherby Magnum Ultralight. Fast forward fifteen years, I had the opportunity to get an all access pass into their facility along with their 373-acre shooting property. Weatherby has and continues to be an American company. Every Mark V is still built in their Sheridan Wyoming factory which makes seeing the process that much more special. Let’s take a deeper dive into Weatherby’s facility.

Last month I was invited out to West Valley City, Utah to visit SilencerCo Headquarters. As an owner of some SilencerCo cans and a fan of their products, I was extremely eager to go check out where my cans were made. Also since I am now behind enemy lines in California, I would get to play with things that I’m not allowed to possess in CA. But that is bordering on politics so let’s move along and check out that silencer magic that SilencerCo seems to possess.

Wrapping up our coverage of some of Austria’s top manufacturers in the firearms industry, we take a factory tour at the Kahles factory. As the company that really pioneered the modern riflescope that we all know and love, Kahles has been making cutting edge scopes for over a century. Today they produce the Kahles K624i, one of the most used rifle scopes in the precision rifle shooting community. Every Ritter & Stark gun that we shot had one of their scopes mounted on it, and with them being one of the best precision scopes in the world it isn’t hard to see why.
