Maxim Defense have announced the introduction of a new .338 caliber suppressor joining their pistol and rifle caliber lines. The .338 MSX weighs in at 19 oz, is made from 7075-T6 aluminum and is 11 inches in length. Maxim Defense say the new suppressor has been designed to minimize the increase in cyclic rate and blowback. The MSX is rated to fire strings of up to 20 rounds at 1 round per second. Maxim Defense list the MSX’s MSRP as $995.

Maxim Defense have introduced two new chamberings for their PDX-SD – .300BLK and 7.62x39mm. The PDX-SD has an integrated system with a short suppressor with an outer diameter of 2.25 inches and a length of 7.4 inches. The gun is 7.6 lbs total and has an overall length of 23.75 inches. It is available with either a stock, as an SBR, or with a brace as a pistol.

Maxim Defense, a well-known producer of higher-quality firearms, ammo, and suppressors has just unveiled its latest industry partnership, this time, with the folks from the FPC (Firearms Policy Coalition). The FPC is a fairly large Second Amendment public advocacy group that often goes to court to fight back against the encroachment that the ATF against law-abiding gun owners. This particular partnership is right up the alley of Maxim Defense since a lot of their product lineup consists of PCCs and other firearms that might end up as Illegal SBRs almost overnight should the ATF’s most recent pistol brace ruling be passed into law.

Suppressors for Precision Rifle Series (PRS) shooting is something I’m looking into at the moment, and conveniently Maxim Defense has just released such a solution. Typically suppressors lessen the muzzle flash, noise and recoil while making the gun a little more accurate. Maxim’s new PRS suppressors have a 3-piece MonoKore design with a 1.75” outer diameter, and are made out of grade-5 titanium and 7075-T6 aluminum. The finish is Cerakote / Type-III hard coat anodizing. It’s available for 6.5 and .308 calibers and attaches with a 5/8-24 thread pitch. The suppressor adds 7.25″ to the overall length of the gun, and weighs 10.8 oz. The MSRP of Maxim Defense PRS suppressors is $695.

9mm pistol caliber carbines are becoming extremely popular in today’s firearm market. There are already a lot of options for you to choose from like the Heckler & Koch MP5, CZ Scorpion Evo III, SIG Sauer MPX, and more. Today the market is receiving yet another AR-9 style pistol caliber carbine with the introduction of Maxim Defense’s new MD-9 PCC.

Shooting rimfire is an inexpensive and fun way to train. Suppressors by extension make that training a little bit more comfortable and a whole lot more fun. Maxim Defense is proud to announce its own addition to the rimfire suppressor market with the introduction of the new DRF-22. The DRF-22 or “Direct Thread Rimfire” suppressor is a monocore suppressor that has been specifically designed to eliminate first-round pop and purposefully designed to increase and maximize both the blowback and cyclic rate of the firearm that it’s attached to.

Having spent the weekend on the shooting range with a suppressed handgun, it’s with great excitement I found out about the new Maxim Defense MKIV-SD. The package consists of a Ruger MKIV .22LR pistol with an integral suppressor with or without a red dot. According to Maxim Defense, there is no detectable first round pop, and overall the sound should be well below hearing safe levels. Considering I was shooting 9mm supersonics without hearing protection, it’s hard to imagine how quite this .22LR would be in comparison.

Maxim Defense is introducing a new DSX-D Suppressor, with a three-piece MonoKore design that adds 7.25” to the muzzle of your rifle. The DSX-D is full-auto rated in all available calibers, but there is an 8.5” barrel restriction. It can be pinned to a 10.3” barrel to effect a 16” overall barrel length.

Maxim Defense is a fairly well-known company within the firearms industry and they are probably most well known for their development of suppressors, and more recently, their development of short-barreled rifle ammunition which tumbles upon impact to increase terminal performance. Compact and light, rifle caliber personal defense weapons (PDWs) are a compromise to pistol caliber carbines or submachine guns. Unfortunately, short barrel rifles can leave cartridges designed for longer barrels anemic when it comes to terminal performance. MAXIM Defense Short Barrel Ammunition is designed to create wound cavities that outperform expanding and fragmenting rounds and can tumble at velocities down to 500 fps. MAXIM Defense also just released a line of suppressor-friendly frangible ammunition that can be shot on steel targets at very short distances.

Maxim Defense was probably the company with the most new products released at SHOT Show 2022. They have updated their line of MD-15 rifles, introduced an entirely new suppressor product line, released a new AR10 pattern rifle called MD11 … pretty much everything in their booth was new. Let’s take a look at the list of new Maxim Defense products and see how the company describes them.

Maxim Defense have announced the launch of a new 7.62×51mm AR, the MD:11. Maxim Defense describe the MD:11 as an update of the original Stoner AR-10 design. It will be available in 6.5 Creedmoor and .308Win/7.62×51mm. This marks a move into a new area for Maxim Defense, their recent products have focused on small, compact PDW carbines in 5.56×45, .300BLK and 7.62×39mm.

Maxim Defense have announced a new Urban Grey version of their PDX AR-pistol. The PDX was first introduced back in 2019 and has since been made available in a range of calibres including .300BLK, 5.56 NATO, and 7.62×39mm. Maxim Defense currently list the Urban Grey PDX at $2,065 MSRP.

Maxim Defense has broken into the firearms industry in a smashing fashion in recent years with their impressive collapsible braces as well as their PDX weapon system (as seen above). At SHOT Show 2020 they once again brought us something new with their Maxim Defense MDX series! This is a series of ultra-compact, PDW-style firearms, but with slightly longer barrels and collapsible braces or stocks (depending on if it is an SBR or AR pistol configuration).
