Headstamp Publishing have announced the release of their latest volume in their Heckler & Koch book series! Volume 3 covers HK’s iconic roller-delayed blowback based rifles and machine guns including everything from the earliest G3s to the ill-fated G41 as well as a host of rarely seen prototypes and machine guns like the HK21!

Photo Of The Day – we’re looking at Norwegian soldiers belonging to the eFP Battlegroup Lithuania, as they’re using their Heckler & Koch 416N. Norway was among the first countries to start using the HK416, already in 2008.

John Wick was right: The HK P30 is overlooked. The first pistol from the John Wick movie series was a tricked-out HK P30L and maybe he got it correct the first time? James Reeves is at Langdon Tactical with Ernest Langdon himself to talk about why the Heckler & Koch (H&K) P30 and P30L, specifically the LEM versions, are extremely underrated. The title of this Photo Of The Day kind of sums up what it’s all about. While your eyes are on the Heckler & Koch HK M110A1, you’re missing a lot of interesting details. Note that H&K calls it a “variant“, and although it’s difficult to see all details in an image like this, it seems several things have been changed. The handguard looks different, for starters. The suppressor seems to be a B&T (for the G28), and not the OSS SRM6. The backup sights are different and the stock might be too. The riflescope looks like the excellent Schmidt & Bender 5-20×50 PM II Ultra Short. This is most likely a Made In Germany project, and you take what you have.

Photo Of The Day – To the horizon and beyond. Here we see a Portuguese Marine with one of their upgraded Heckler & Koch G3s. The Spuhr upgrades solve the most important issues with the G3, namely the Length of Pull (LOP). Furthermore, this firearm has the Spuhr buttstock, forend and top rail.

This is a review of the Infiray Outdoor Tube TS60 which was introduced just now at the IWA OutdoorClassics 2024 exhibition in Germany. TFB got an exclusive opportunity to try it out about two months before its official release, and here’s the story in words and images.

I think it’s safe to say that Heckler & Koch doesn’t need a deeper introduction to the readers of this blog. They are now introducing no less than six new variants of their VP9 pistols, now available in an optics-ready flat dark earth (FDE) configuration. The pistols have a combination of a black slide on an FDE frame. Other features remain the same, like the striker-fired trigger, the 17-round magazines, and versatile ergonomics with a huge number of interchangeable side panels and backstraps.

According to Wikipedia, very little is known, but: “the majority of this unit’s missions are confidential and public information is not available. Since its inception, GSG 9 has participated in over 1,500 missions, yet reportedly fired shots only on five occasions (official count, prior to the 2003 Iraq War). These occasions were Mogadishu in 1977, Bad Kleinen in 1993, Aachen in 1999 and two more missions where firearms were used to shoot dogs of the persons being arrested.”

This is a review of the Pulsar Talion XQ35 Pro Thermal Imaging Riflescope. This is a compact, lightweight thermal imaging hunting riflescope available at a reasonable price. Its fairly small size in combination with various possible mounting solutions makes it suitable for a large number of platforms, like ARs, semi-autos and bolt-action rifles.

German GunWorks is at it again! This time the project is a Heckler & Koch MR223A3C in Flecktarn Nacht. As many of you will know, Flecktarn (German pronunciation: [ˈflɛktaʁn]) is the official camouflage pattern of the “Bundeswehr” (German Army). Nacht means night in German, so we’re looking at a sort of MultiCam Black, but in a German interpretation. The MR223 A3C comes with an 11″ barrel length, and has undergone several hours of customization and the replacement parts list is extreme – passing beyond 6,500 €.

The French 7e Bataillon de Chasseurs Alpins have been playing with Artificial Intelligence, and you’re here to admire and comment on the end result. As far as I know, this is the first time our Photo Of The Day has used AI-generated images. Something tells me it’s not the last time.
