SILENCER SATURDAY #316: THE GLOCK Suppressor Host – The Exclusive G19X MOS
Good evening everyone and welcome back to TFB’s Silencer Saturday brought to you by Yankee Hill Machine, manufacturers of the brand new YHM 338 Bad Larry Suppressor. Last week we hit the range at dusk for a bit of flash testing with the SureFire SOCOM 556 RC3 and RC2 suppressors. This week we switch it up a bit with a new GLOCK suppressor host – the G19X MOS with a threaded barrel, an exclusive release from Davidson’s. Why am I excited about what appears to be a few small modifications on a five year old pistol model? Let’s take a look.
New Exclusive Davidson's Gunsite GLOCK Service Pistol
Davidson’s is one of the nation’s biggest wholesalers and they’re well known for being the sole distributor for a number of exclusive designs of firearms that you can’t find anywhere else. The Davidson’s Exclusive Gunsite GLOCK Service Pistol is their latest offering and is based on the Glock 45 as its core but features an included Holosun Red Dot optics directly mounted to the slide, as well as Ameriglo suppressor-height sights and custom engraving featuring the Gunsite Academy logo – a well-known firearms training academy located in Paulden, Arizona founded by the legendary Lt. Colonel Jeff Cooper.

The rifle’s engraving is inspired by the ornate work of 19th century master engraver Louis Daniel Nimschke.

[TFB GUNFEST] Thunder Ranch Edition Century VSKA AK-47
In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves interviews Adam with Century about the new Thunder Ranch edition VSKA AK. From Century and Davidson’s press release:

Sweet As a Plum – Davidson's Exclusive Ruger Wrangler
Originally announced in April 2019, the Ruger Wrangler was offered in three distinct Cerakote colors: black, silver, and a very handsome burnt bronze. Well, the color options keep coming. Davidson’s has teamed up with Ruger once again, and has announced the new Davidson’s Exclusive Ruger Wrangler.
Wilson Combat PPE Carbine Available Exclusively from Davidson's
Most people know Wilson Combat for their high-end handguns, particularly 1911s. Bill Wilson and his team in Berryville, Arkansas have been putting out highly regarded custom firearms for decades, and today they offer an impressive menu of guns with equally impressive price tags. Even with the hefty cash outlay involved, many shooters assert that these guns are some of the best around and well worth the cost. Wilson Combat does get outside the 1911 world from time to time, and recently released a collaboration with SIG Sauer in the form of a high-end custom variant of the P320. Another non-1911 foray extends to the long gun game, with some AR-15 and PCC offerings. Firearms distributor Davidson’s, known for their exclusive versions of many manufacturer’s guns, offers some Wilson exclusives as well. Now they’ve announced an exclusive model of Wilson Combat’s 5.56 AR, dubbed the PPE, with the following press release.
Davidson's Adds Hoppe's To Its Product Catalogue
Hoppe’s No. 9 – if you’re a firearms enthusiast, you almost certainly know it and love it. That familiar, pungent, acrid aroma is so ubiquitous in the gun world that you can even get candles and air fresheners scented like the classic 117-year-old cleaning concoction. It’s been one of the most popular firearms maintenance products for decades, and over the years they’ve expanded their product lines to include a plethora of other offerings to further help shooters keep their guns in good order. Recognizing the brand’s prominence, Davidson’s has brought them into the fold. With the following September 15th press release, this top-tier firearms wholesaler/distributor has announced that they will now be offering Hoppe’s products in their expansive catalogue. The release reads as follows.
Samuel Colt Edition 1911 from Davidson's, Colt, and Baron Engraving
The venerable 1911: love it or hate it, view it as outdated or enduring, it’s hard to argue against the design’s historical importance. It served as the US military’s standard issue sidearm for the majority of the 20th century, through multiple conflicts including two World Wars (not that any 1911 fanboy would ever let you forget that fact). Millions have been made and sold, from the original version to more modern takes on it from companies like Wilson Combat, Springfield, and many more. While plenty of them have been intended as hard-use handguns, others have been more artistically inclined and meant to be admired more than fielded. With a September 15th press release, Davidson’s has announced a collaborative version with Colt and Baron Engraving which falls squarely in the latter category. The release reads:
Davidson's Brings Standard Manufacturing on Board
Standard Manufacturing is a relatively young company, having only been around for six years. In that fairly short time, they have produced an eclectic mix of guns. Their unusual lineup includes a number of double-barrel pump and semi-auto shotguns, high-dollar single-action revolvers, a smattering of 1911s, and the particularly odd S333 “Thunderstruck” – which is a double-barrelled eight-round revolver that fires two shots of .22 Win Mag with each pull of its unique two-finger trigger. Davidson’s, wholesaler for Gallery of Guns and more, has added Standard products to their lineup with the following July 2nd press release.
Davidson's Exclusive 1911 with Colt and Baron Engraving
The venerable 1911 – you’d be hard-pressed to find a shooter who isn’t at least broadly familiar with this classic design. Through 75 years of military service and countless variations on John Moses Browning’s original model, some have hated it and many have loved it. As it has aged, the 1911 has come to spark some division among gun tribes between its impassioned adherents and modernists who believe it has outlived usefulness in this day and age.
Pietta and Davidson's Announce Exclusive 1873 Revolvers
Italian gunmaker Pietta has partnered with Davidson’s to produce two new exclusive revolvers. Founded in 1963, Pietta specializes in historical weapons. The brace of brass-and-blued model 1873s will be available chambered in .357 Magnum and the classic . 45 Long Colt. Their recent press release introducing this pair of wheelguns reads as follows below with more details.
New Radical Firearms and MFT Exclusives at Davidson's
In a June 15th press release, Davidson’s announced three new exclusive ARs thanks to two recent partnerships. Texas-based gunmaker Radical Firearms and Pennsylvanian accessory manufacturer Mission First Tactical (who themselves just came out with a line of cool drinkware) have come on board with Davidson’s, and the trio of companies wasted no time in birthing some collaborative 5.56/.223 based guns.
Davidson's Adds Polymer 80 Complete Pistols
The firearm wholesaler Davidson’s just announced that they’re adding to their catalog complete pistols from Polymer 80. You may be familiar with the models and you may appreciate their ergonomic choices over the well-known platform. If you don’t think you are skilled enough to complete an 80% build, now there’s the option to buy the full package, saving you the sweat and the cursing.
