This beast, painted in Multicam Tropic Green Cerakote, will set you back $4,999. However, the rifle comes rather well equipped, with a Nightforce NX8 1-8x24mm F1 Riflescope on a Reptilia 30mm AUS Mount for instance. The sling is an Edgar Sherman Designs (ESD) Multicam Tropic Sling. The “suppressor” is no such thing, it’s a HuxWrx Blastphemy blast deflector.

SIG SAUER unveiled their MCX-SPEAR LT series of firearms in the fall of 2022, following up from the prior release of their large-frame SPEAR model. The original SPEAR is essentially the commercial version of their DoD Next Generation Squad Weapon (NGSW) program entry to replace the military’s aging M4 carbines. The LT versions were added to maintain the design’s advantages while bringing additional options to buyers in further chamberings, such as 5.56 or 300 BLK. Now SIG has announced the release of a new special edition of their popular SPEAR LT, which is offered in Multicam thanks to their partnership with custom Cerakote gurus Blowndeadline, rather than the series’ standard FDE or black. German GunWorks is at it again! This time the project is a Heckler & Koch MR223A3C in Flecktarn Nacht. As many of you will know, Flecktarn (German pronunciation: [ˈflɛktaʁn]) is the official camouflage pattern of the “Bundeswehr” (German Army). Nacht means night in German, so we’re looking at a sort of MultiCam Black, but in a German interpretation. The MR223 A3C comes with an 11″ barrel length, and has undergone several hours of customization and the replacement parts list is extreme – passing beyond 6,500 €.

Manufactured by O.F. Mossberg & Sons, the Mossberg 590 is a popular pump-action shotgun. It’s used by the military as well as in law enforcement applications, but it’s also popular for home defense and sporting purposes. I’m sure that more than a few of TFB’s readers have one close to their bed at night. In this Photo Of The Day, we’re taking a look at a custom version by  Vang Comp Systems LLC – the Sniper Grey Mossberg 590.

Time for another  Photo Of The Day. Sometimes you stumble on interesting pictures that need to be shared, and we got the owner’s permission to do so. Since winter is soon upon us (yes, unfortunately), it might be a good time to paint a gun or two accordingly? This collection of firearms from Heckler & Koch is rather special, even without the Norwegian winter camo. Cerakote is by far the most popular firearm finish for everything ranging from high-end bolt-action hunting rifles, down to your EDC pistol. Cerakote provides an extra layer of durability not only in the form of abrasion resistance but also chemical and corrosion resistance. While it’s easy enough to do it at home, the process is time-consuming and can require specialized equipment for the finish to come out looking right. That’s why C&H Precision is excited to announce their new In-House Cerakote Services for pistol slides. While the company has traditionally focused on adapter plates and more recently optics, C&H is intending to offer the Cerakote service as an add-on service for just $60 in a number of basic colors.

Introducing the latest offering from Springfield Armory, the Tungsten Gray SAINT Victor 5.56mm. This new addition to the SAINT Victor lineup combines purpose-built performance with an attractive and distinct Tungsten Gray Cerakote color option. The Tungsten Gray Cerakote finish, applied to the upper and lower forged 7075 T6 aluminum receivers, as well as the free-float M-LOK handguard, not only provides added protection but also gives the SAINT Victor a unique and eye-catching appearance for those who want an out-of-the-box rifle that will impress at the range and in the field.

Starting April 2023, Anderson Manufacturing will release Special Edition Builder Sets that consist of an Anderson lower, upper and handguard with a custom Cerakote finish. Each month they will collect pre-orders for a one-of-a-kind pattern, which will be released the following month. Cerakote is a ceramic-based coating that is applied to various surfaces, including metals like here. Over the years the process has become increasingly popular due to its durability and resistance to wear, corrosion, impact, and chemicals. In this case, the coating will be made by Grit City Cerakote.

SilencerCo has launched a new custom paint service for those who want to add some color to their suppressor. They now offer five different Cerakote finishes at a cost of $89 per suppressor. This gives you an opportunity to match your suppressor to your firearm, and yes – they do offer black as well. The Cerakote C Series Ceramic Coatings used for this application will perform at temperatures up to 1200°F (about 650° C). The “Cobra Black” uses the Cerakote V Series ceramic coatings, capable of temperatures up to 1800°F.
