AREX Defense has introduced the 4AMP, a contract pistol originally designed for German special forces maritime units, now coming to the civilian market. This saltwater-resistant 9mm pistol is built for extreme environments, featuring aggressive slide serrations for wet-hand manipulation, a threaded barrel, and optics-ready compatibility. A refined evolution of the Rex Delta, the 4AMP will be available in subcompact (12rd), compact (15rd), and full-size (17rd/24rd) configurations, including 5” and 6” duty models. The Arex Rex Zero1 pistol is a relatively new but capable handgun from Slovenian military manufacturer, Arex. Due to the fact that it just hit the US market only a few years ago, there has not been a lot in the way of accessories available for the European uber nine. Slovenian firearms manufacturer AREX has been bought by the Czech Republic-based investment company RSBC.

Slovenian  Arex and Slovakian  Grand Power have almost simultaneously announced that they are developing competition versions of their handguns. The Grand Power’s pistol is shown on the top image of this article. It is called X-Calibur Match. The Arex’s pistol is based on their Rex pistol design and it will be called Alpha (see the image below). Both pistols are in the prototyping stage.

Since the Arex ReX Zero 1 showed up on the market, it has been making some pretty big waves. FIME Group, the Las Vegas-based importer of the Arex Rex Zero 1 pistol announced the arrival of a tactical version of the Slovenian wonder-nine on the group’s Facebook page. According to the social media post the Arex Rex Zero 1T just arrived in the US and will be at distributors soon.

The Arex Rex Zero 1 took the market by storm when it was introduced and has dominated several tests as well as recieved glowing reviews from everyone that has been able to review one. This year at SHOT two new models were introduced to fill customer requests. The new compact model is about the same size as most compact sized pistols on the market and the suppressor ready model features a red dot mount and adaptor plates, suppressor height sights, and a threaded barrel as standard. All models will be offered in black as well as FDE.
