In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves is at CZ’s Headquarters in Uhersky Brod, Czech Republic, to discuss the newest caliber of the CZ 600 Trail – and perhaps the most anticipated – the .300 Blackout. This will allow users to suppress their bolt action CZ 600s, resulting in no action noise and extremely quiet performance when using subsonics and a good suppressor. Creative Arms .300 BLK "ISR" (Integrally Suppressed Rifle) [GunCon 2023]
In this episode of TFBTV’s GunCon 2023 coverage, James speaks with Creative Arms, an Iowan boutique AR-15 manufacturer, about their integrally suppressed .300 Blackout AR-15. This carbine is different than many other integrally suppressed AR-15 options out there in that the Creative Arms uses a removable baffle core that can be swapped, but perhaps more importantly, it can be removed while the purchaser waits for their suppressor paperwork to clear or if the gun is being brought to a place where a suppressor is not permitted. How…creative?

What is the SIG MCX RSAR? (New SOCOM PDW)
SIG Sauer was recently awarded a 5-year, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract valued at $5 million to provide the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) with a new Reduced Signature Assault Rifle. The RSAR is essentially the MCX Rattler in .300BLK but with a slightly longer barrel, different gas system, and packaged with a SIG SL-series suppressor, making this, perhaps, the ultimate PDW. The search for a weapon to fit the RSAR requirement has been ongoing since 2017. SOCOM describes the RSAR as a ‘PDW system [which] will allow Operators to have maximum firepower in a concealable weapon.’
(Some copy lifted from Matthew Moss’ article on the RSAR, https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2022/10/18/ussocom-sig-rattler-reduced-signature-assault-rifle/ )
Finally, a Good PDW
In this episode of TFBTV, Hop reviews the CMMG Dissent, an ultra-compact PDW-style AR chambered in .300 Blackout. The Dissent has a recoil system fully contained in the upper receiver, which allows it to mount a folding stock or brace, and even fire folded. These are also available in 5.7x28mm and 5.56x45mm but .300 Blackout is (of course) the one you want.
