SK Customs has announced the 2nd edition of their “Conquerors Series” with the unveiling of the Hernán Cortés lineup of Government model 1911s chambered for the .38 Super cartridge. These gorgeous and elegant pieces absolutely tell a story and might be too beautiful to actually shoot, but that is for the prospective owner to decide.

SK Guns @ TFB:

SK Customs and the Hernán Cortés Lineup

The Hernán Cortés grouping of 1911s have an MSRP of $2,850 and will begin shipping in August of this year. Only 200 of these pistols are slated for production and they will be built off of a Colt 1911 frame and slide in their iconic Classic Royal Blue.

The left-hand side of your slide will display scenes of Cortés entering the Aztec capital of Tenochtitlán, including images of battle and Cortés on horseback. This will be accompanied by subtle shading of the Gulf of Mexico and that Conquistador’s journey.

The right side of the slide shows Hernán Cortés and his men on ships entering the Gulf of Mexico as they first make contact with the Aztec civilization. The entire pistol features a highly polished royal blue finish with 24k gold plating borders and accents.

The top of the slide features a portrait of Cortés and the conquistadors’ Coat of Arms. A floral scroll complements the entire firearm, and the grips are engraved with the theme of the series showcasing a range of historic weaponry on one side opposite Cortés on horseback.

A Word from SK Customs on the Second Edition of “Conquerors Series:” Hernán Cortés

St. Augustine, Florida - June, 2025 - SK Guns®, the Nation’s only series-driven, limited-edition manufacturer of custom firearms, is proud to announce its second production in the “Conquerors Series.” Commemorative of Conquistador Hernán Cortés, this is a limited-edition production of only 200 Colt 1911 Classic Royal Blue pistols chambered in .38 Super.

“In history, the name Cortés is synonymous with the word Conqueror. Bringing the Spanish Empire to the Americas, the conquistador was instrumental in the formation and the culture of Latin America,” said Simon Khiabani, owner and founder of SK Guns. “We are excited to pay homage to Cortés and the lasting impacts that are still prevalent today.”

Departing Thoughts

These pistols are more than a firearm; they are a stunning work of art. The price tag might bother some people, but for those who are discerning collectors and gun owners, they will understand this is an investment in something greater and one heck of an addition to anybody’s gun collection.
